A Nordstromsaleis always worth perusing online, and right now it’s a good one. While browsingits half-yearly sale event, I saw products in every department reduced by as much as 65 percent — and they’re from the brands that youactuallywant to shop from, too. In the womenswear markdowns alone (always the strongest section), I spotted on-sale Levi’s and Caslon. There’s also a nice mix of big brands — likeLe Creusetand Mini Boden — and everyday luxuries (Egyptian-cottontowels) across the other departments of menswear, beauty, home, and kids. To save you trawling through the hundreds of deals, I’ve scanned through every department to find the very best markdowns across the site. My advice is to act quickly if you want to bag something: The sale ends Sunday night and, in typical Nordstrom sale fashion, stock has been moving fast.

A comfy-looking tee for 75 percent off is a rarely seen discount. And while it was tough to choose the best deal from the womenswear section, in the end, I decided a 100 percentlinen shirtfor 30 percent off is an excellent price. Finally, we’ve been obsessed with Kate McLeod’slotion barsfor years, and this limited-edition two-pack makes each floral-scented stone just under $25 apiece.
Women’s apparel and accessories
Womenswear sales at Nordstrom are reliably good. This time — as well as my top-pick linen shirt — I found standouts like Levi’s around the $60 mark. I’ve also got my eye on the breezy tie-up top from WAYF.

Men’s apparel and accessories
Here, I found summery striped tees from Cotton On and Daniel Buchler for under $30 apiece, and some stylish jeans from Carhartt.
Beauty
It’s beauty sets’ time to shine in the Nordstrom sale. They’re a great pick if you’re gifting, but also if you’re just looking to sample a new brand, or stock up on minis before your next vacation (and the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow set is just a good price to stock up with in general). Elsewhere, makeup-bag essentials, like a Siia lipstick for just $12.

There are two categories worth shopping in this section: cast-iron and cashmere. This time, they come in the form of a handsome cast-iron braiser from Le Creuset and a cashmere-and-wool-blend blanket from Nordstrom’s own brand. Also: towels, candles, glasses. All the good stuff.

Kids and babies
Everything from Mini Boden makes me melt, including this rainbow zip-up hoodie, which is down to just $25 in the sale. I also liked the other kids’ Sunday-best stuff, like a Next farmyard knitted cotton cardigan. A couple of good multipacks, too: like a five-pack of kids’ ribbed T-shirts, or a three-pack of embroidered kids’ shirts from AllSaints (which I’ve just learned calls its kids line SMallSaints. How cute!).
