What Carly Mark Can’t Live Without

I’ve been on aperfumejourney this year, trying out different scents by different brands. Because I spend a lot of time in airports, I’m always smelling all the perfumes while I’m waiting for a flight. Someone recommended Orphéon by Diptyque to me, and I tried it out and loved it. There’s a tiny limoncello-y note in it, but maybe less sweet. It smells gardenlike, kind of woodsy. It’s not too floral. It smells a bit wild, which I like. And anytime I leave the house wearing it, I’m told I smell good, which is definitely an incentive to keep wearing something. I’ll have moments, too, where I put on a shirt from the day before, and I’m like,That smells good.And then I’m like,Oh, yeah. It’s Orphéon.

I have gone to Dr. Lara Devgan for years. She makes a lash-extending serum that you’re supposed to put on your lids daily, but I was never able to get into the regimen of doing it because it’s kind of like going to the gym. You have to keep doing it over and over again to see a change. I’m better when I can see an immediate result. So thismascarashe made is perfect because it has lengthening formula in it. I just keep stocking up and then I end up having unopened tubes everywhere — I always find tubes of it around my house. I’m not a big makeup person, but the one thing I will always wear is this mascara. For me, it changes everything. It makes me feel pretty when I have mascara on.

This is another one-stop shop for me. I apply it day and night. I see a great facialist atUnion Square Laser Dermatologynamed Madelina, who recommended this cream to me around six or seven years ago. It’s the onlyface moisturizerthat I’ll use now. I’d say a little goes a long way. I do a pump or two on my fingertips and go over my full face. I have some oily spots on my skin, but generally, it’s on the drier side. This keeps it all moisturized, and it never makes me break out. A bottle probably lasts me six months. You really don’t need much of it.

I gethyperpigmentationnow really easily. These pads have green tea, kojic acid, and hydroquinone. The combination helps with the skin dullness that happens as you get older — but it’s the hydroquinone that’s keeps my hyperpigmentation clear. I use them in the evenings. Sometimes at night, I won’t even fully wash my face. I’ll just use one of the pads pretty thoroughly and sort of scrub my whole face with it. I do it once a day because they say that with hydroquinone you’re supposed to take breaks so your skin doesn’t gettooused to it. So after I go through a stack of these, I’ll wait a few weeks until I get a new container. I’ve been doing that for years, and I get a lot of compliments on my skin.

If you’re constantly on the move and you can’t afford a dead iPhone, you have to get a lightning cable. It charges really fast. I need everything charged, and I need it charged quickly. This is efficient. It doesn’t take up much space. It’s high quality. I always buy the longer cord just in case. You never know how far you need to stretch that cord.

This is my most-worn pair of earrings. They’re the right size for ahoop. They’re simple. They’re definitely designed, but to the perfect degree. I never get sick of them. I think that’s a big thing too. There’s a sweet spot where you don’t get over something — it’s the perfect one of a thing.

I have a formula for the way that I dress because I just need efficiency in my life at this point. I know what I like, and I’m very decisive. I like an easy, comfortable tee that fits well. I think thatKim Kardashiandoes a great job withSkimsand thistankparticularly. It’s the right amount of tight. It’s breathable. It’s cotton. It’s black. I have five and I travel with them all the time. I’m going from one country to the next constantly. So I need to know that I have something for whatever weather. I can wear them during the day and then I can wear them at night.

I got these originally at theBroken Armin Paris. They’re the perfect black sneaker. They’re very cool. They’re very comfortable. They’re very discreet. I’m not huge on branding. I mean, I don’t even put a lot of branding on my own things. Once I bought them, I started wearing them every day, which is a sign that they work. I have multiple pairs now. If I’m running around during the day, I’m wearing those sneakers.

This is my favorite bag. It’s made from afauxleather that’s durable. I’m not worried about it scuffing. It’s a good day-to-night thing. It looks fancy enough. It has an interesting shape. You know it’s a Puppets bag for sure, but there’s no super-serious, highly identifiable logo on it. I wear it on the shoulder. But there’s also a strap to make it a crossbody. I’ve shown it on the runway held as a clutch before. The way it’s shaped on the bottom — it curves up, and you can kind of hug it right at the curve, which is very chic.
