If Your Holiday Wish List Contains a Life-Size Elf on the Shelf, Now’s Your Moment
July can be an extra chaotic time of year to shop — it’s hot outside, but lots of summer stuff is sold out or on clearance as retailers turn to school supplies and fall sweaters. It’s also prime time for Code Orange alerts, or what true Halloween heads call décor drops like Home Depot’s latest 12-foot skeleton (and all his oversize friends). Usually, the Christmas stuff lurks more quietly until September, but this year, the spooky-season launches have some red-and-green company, courtesy of Lowe’s, which just released a holiday collection that includes animatronic Rudolph characters and a Santa-hat-wearing Highland cow.
The most notable release, however, is a life-size, posable Elf on the Shelf, returning to the retailer after selling out incredibly fast in 2025.

Last year, the five-foot-tall figure was only available as the original Blue Eyed Boy, but this year the whole squad is on offer, as he’s joined by Blue Eyed Girl, Brown Eyed Boy, and Brown Eyed Girl.

Today and tomorrow, the familiar mischief-makers are on sale exclusively to customers with a MyLowe’s account; it’s a free membership program that you can sign up for on the Lowe’s website. The holiday collection will then “officially” launch this Friday, July 25 — but I suspect the more popular items won’t last that long. So if shuffling a human-size Elf on the Shelf around your house every night is on your holiday checklist this year, don’t dillydally.
