I work with a lot of textured hair, and this is really good at detangling and prepping the hair before a blow-dry or silk press. It’s hydrating, softening, and smoothing. It’s also really inexpensive, which is a plus because I am heavy-handed. I can go crazy on hair that requires more product without having to worry about spending $50 for more.
Her longtime favorite dry shampoo

I discovered Batiste a really long time ago — before all the girls were privy to the benefits of dry shampoo. I’ve been introduced to many others since then, but Batiste is still the best. It doesn’t have any perfume smell and gets straight to the point. It’s not too white and powdery, and it’s easy to work with and remove.
Her top mascara for at least 20 years

I can get my hands on many high-end mascaras, but I’ll tell you that CoverGirl Super Thick Lash at the drugstore has been my go-to for at least 20 years. It’s the best mascara I’ve ever used. It was recommended by a makeup-artist friend.
Her smooth-skin solution

Bio-Oil Skincare Oil
Bio-Oil is one of my favorite products that’s literally chained up at the drugstore. It gets rid of scars and smooths the skin. It’s almost like a dry oil, which I like because you want your skin to be shiny and supple but you don’t want to create a mess on your clothes. It dries down really quickly and has your skin looking great.
Her luxe-feeling cleanser

Facialists and skin-care gurus always recommend this product, and it’s already something I use. It feels so high-end, and I love that I can get it anywhere around the world, too. It gets your skin squeaky clean without feeling dry. It’s a great size. I can put some in my travel bottle and still have another half a bottle at home.
