If you follow design, you are undoubtedly familiar with the glassware of French American designer Sophie Lou Jacobsen. HerWave PitcherandRipple Cupsare among her most recognizable (and popular) pieces, though lately I have been obsessed withFLORA, the lighting collection she designed in collaboration withIn Common With. It includes ethereal sconces, lamps, and chandeliers, some of which are shaped like flowers and punctuated with beads, all dynamic in their organic silhouettes. Florals are another theme in theTulipa collection, which sees the stems swoop, droop, and dangle across vases, bowls, and bottles.
In Jacobsen’s newest collection, she looks back to Italy’s disco era of the 1970s and 1980s with a minimalist set of glassware bejeweled with Swarovski crystals and enameled copper serving plates. The crystal embellishments are subtle, like barely noticeable diamond studs. We’ve partnered with Jacobsen to give oneSecret Strategistreader a Disco Aperitivo bundle, which includes theMilano Aperitivo Glasses,Aperitivo Bowls, andAperitivo Plates.
