According to senior editor Simone Kitchens — our residentfirm-mattressconnoisseur — this one is easily the firmest she’s ever tried. Also on sale is our favorite less-expensive latex hybrid, the Avocado Eco Organic. Writer Kitty Guo says it has a medium feel and good support for people with lighter builds. That, combined with a budget-friendly price, could make it a nice option for older kids or teens, too.

Best foam mattresses on sale for Labor Day
