Both Lauren Levy, the Strategist’s lead editor, and I own this hard-sidecarry-onfrom Travelpro and love it. While it’s on the expensive side, I know that it will hold up over the years, considering that Travelpro is the go-to brand for flight crews around the world. (Travelpro also makes our favoritesoft-sided carry-on, which is on sale as well — see below.) It’s extremely lightweight and roomy and has the smoothest glide. I also appreciate all the thoughtful built-in details, like its two zippered divider panels; many accessory pockets, including one that’s water-resistant; and ability to expand up to two inches. While the original price of the suitcase is inflated on Amazon, it’s on sale for Prime Day for $224 — the cheapest it’s been all week — in all colors. (It was also on sale on the Travelpro website, but that sale has now ended.)
