It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year to Buy a Fake Christmas Tree
“Buy on Black Friday” was an oft-repeated piece of advice I heard for our guide to the best artificial Christmas trees. (Don’t overspend at a Christmas-tree farm was another.) Throughout Cyber Week, the deals tend to be even better than they were for, say, Prime Day or a “Christmas in July” sales event. Not only for National Tree Company deals at Amazon but the annual sales at Balsam Hill (where interior designers, set decorators, and Christmas enthusiasts get their fakes that look straight out of a Hallmark holiday movie). Have yourself a merry little Christmas, and save a few bucks while you’re at it. Sign up for the Strategist Sales Alert newsletter, too, for all the latest deals, right to your inbox.
Deals I personally think are the best
Balsam Hill makes the best fakes, and its Classic Blue Spruce (which was featured in Hallmark’s One Royal Holiday) currently starts at $199. And the tree that helped introduce Strategist contributor Ivy Pochoda to her new neighbors as “the person with the pink tree” is going for less than $100. There’s also the tinsel number from CB2 that senior editor Jen Trolio likes as a unique alternative to evergreen; originally $699, it’s marked down to $349.
