What Brittany Snow Can’t Live Without

I have these in all areas of my life — in my bags, in my drawers, in my car — because I inevitably always spill something on myself. It’s now a running joke with me and my friends that I will show up to the meeting or dinner with something on my shirt or dress that I don’t see. I’m not really sure how I don’t see it, but these things are extremely useful and they do get the job done.

My friends make fun of me all the time for this, too, because I truly carry it in my purse like breath mints or something. You never know when you’re going to get a coffee and they don’t have stevia there. Sometimes, like a grandma, I will carry them in little plastic baggies.

I’m very sensitive to sounds, and if I’m in an area where there’s a lot going on, I like to have a moment of pause; I like to have a moment of just getting back to myself. Even when I’m at home and I’m cleaning or something like that, I’m always listening to something. Right now, I am in deep with this podcast calledThe Telepathy Tapes. It is absolutely fascinating. I urge people to check it out because I’m actually very shocked that it’s not more widespread. And then I do have to shout out my other podcast that I love, Mandy Matney’s podcast,Murdaugh Murders Podcast(now known asTrue Sunlight).

I cut off all my hair recently. It’s very short now and I’m trying desperately to get it long again. It just takes a long time when you’re blonde. It grows and then it breaks and it grows and breaks, and I feel like these vitamins actually have helped a lot with the nature of my hair. It has only been a year of using it, but I do feel like it’s making my hair grow faster.

It’s my go-to. It’s the only foundation that actually gives a glow to my skin and matches my skin tone perfectly. I wish Dior gave them to me, but I just buy them and love them. I don’t really wear a lot of makeup or foundation, but a little goes a long way with this stuff. I like that it’s sheer and luminous. I really am a girl that doesn’t like a matte finish ever. I like to feel glowy and dewy, and it’s the only foundation that I’ve found that actually delivers on that.

I truly believe that she’s got something figured out. I use it alone and also as a layer. I have it everywhere. Pillow Talk is the OG lip gloss that just sort of goes with everybody and everything. It’s not very overpowering — it’s a nude-y pink and kind of goes on top of everything and doesn’t compete with anything.

I love Kate Somerville. I’ve been going there for years and I use all their products. Their products have completely transformed my skin. The SuperCell is really great because it uses peptides, which I need, and plant-based everything. I am prone to dry skin and breakouts and it never breaks me out, which is huge.

If I could just have one item in the world, it’s Salonpas. I buy them in bulk. I put them everywhere: I have a really bad back and neck and these heal me. I have a reverse curve of my neck, and so I constantly have to do exercises to reverse the curve. Whenever it acts up, I just slap one of those bad boys on and it helps. I love that smell, too.

I swear by this. I put it over my foundation every day. It’s a sunscreen, but it’s also the only thing that makes me look like not a ghost or pale person. It gives great protection from the sun, but it’s also great as makeup as well. You can use it as a bronzer of sorts. It’s creamy and just gives your skin a luminescent sort of glow.

I am collaborating with Yankee Candle on its relaunch, and I am so excited because it’s not every day that you get to be in a partnership with a brand that you truly use and love. Yankee Candle has been a trusted brand for me ever since I can remember. My family had a condo timeshare in Sarasota and I have very vivid memories of spending Christmases there. There was always a Yankee Candle there and the scent was Sun & Sand. Now, it is also creating new memories for me as I make my new home a place where I can feel cozy and present and be myself.

Sun & Sand smells like the beach. It’s this fresh, clean scent that’s a little bit sweet as well, but not overpowering. It’s also a really great scent to layer with other scents. I really like the Clean Cotton scent because it smells like fresh laundry. You can have each candle in different corners of the room and they won’t cancel each other out or compete. Now, when I light these candles, it takes me right back to those moments of being with my family, which I think is really important and lovely.
