Interior designerSheila Bridgesjust launched a collection of summer-ready outdoor entertaining pieces for Walmart, right in time for barbecue season. The 14-piece collection was inspired by her hometown of Philadelphia and features historical figures and Americana icons like Betsy Ross, Benjamin Franklin, and the Liberty Bell — plus Bridges’s joyfully subversive Harlem Toile de Jouy pattern. I got a preview of some of the items, and they’re all very fun. Best of all, everything is under $20.

These cotton oven mitts are my favorite piece in the collection. I love that they’re mismatched: One side has Betsy Ross holding a mustard bottle, and the other Benjamin Franklin clutching a Philly soft pretzel.

These square place mats are very nice, too, and come in a summery blue color bordered by green trim. They’re made of polyester but feel like cotton.

Melamine tableware is a great option foroutdoor entertaining, and there are plenty of pieces made of the durable material in this collection, like this oval serving platter with Bridges’ cheeky take on French toile. (Now’s your chance to own a piece of Harlem Toile, as this collection offers it at the most accessible price point ever.)

These melamine bowls could work for dips, condiments, or better yet ice cream.
