Sonos’s Cyber Monday sale is a great opportunity to get into the most comprehensive whole-home audio system around at a more accessible price. The excellent Arc Ultra (our current pick forbest soundbar) and theextremely comfortableAce headphones are all at their lowest prices ever. And the great-sounding Era 100, spatial-audio-ready Era 300, and portable Move 2 (from mygift guide for picky guys) are all steeply discounted.
Between the Apple HomePod, Amazon Echo, Google Home, andother DIY options, there are more choices than ever for multi-room music-streaming systems. But Sonos was the first to bring this technology to the mainstream, and it still offers the best overall combination of performance, support, and breadth of offerings. All of its products sound great out of the box and get even better after they’ve been tuned for their location — easily done using the app. I also appreciate that Sonos regularly updates its app and firmware to improve the reliability and performance of its products. The value is already there at full price, but it’s even better when the deals are this good.

Other over-ear headphones give me tension headaches within an hour or two, but the Ace’s light grip lets me wear them all day without discomfort. $399 is a great price for a waterproof speaker that sounds as good on the road as it does at home. It works on Wi-Fi when available and on Bluetooth when you’re not on a network and has a huge battery that lasts up to 24 hours.

Sonos Roam 2
A pretty good price on a pretty good portable speaker with a built-in battery. It sounds great for its size (about the same as a tallboy can) and can easily fill a small apartment, but it requires Wi-Fi to set up, which can be a problem if you’re far from home when it needs a factory reset to fix a pairing issue.
