During my recent hunt forswim shorts, I ended up browsing a lot of surf-oriented swim brands. Again and again, I noticed a style of swimsuit that I, a non-surfer, hadn’t really considered before: the swimromper.
It’s basically a classic one-piece with shorts instead of the underwear-like cut of a traditional swimsuit bottom, so it offers a little extra butt coverage. I couldn’t help but try one myself, so I called in theRiptide Romper from Popflex. The romper still has a somewhat cheeky cut but is ultimately more covered up than other swimsuits I own. Details like the lace-up back and dangly charms keep it from feeling too fusty; it even has pockets on each side.
I was so excited about my new swim romper that I decided to cast a wider net and look for more. It turns out there are many on the market with varying lengths of shorts. Whether you need a suit for water activities like surfing or kayaking, prefer a slightly more covered look, or want something you can wear straight from yoga to the beach, consider the swim romper for all your summer plans.
