What is your gift-giving philosophy?
I’m trying to find things that they’re gonna use on an everyday basis. I don’t want it to be something that they use, like, on an occasion.
You have to give the same present to everyone for the rest of your life. What is it?
You can never go wrong with wine. Whatever that current vintage ofHeitzis, I probably would give them that. That’s one of my go-togoodwines. A lot of people my age or older either like wine or are getting into wine. So you can’t miss with that.

What was the most heartfelt, smart,so youpresent you’ve ever received? Tell us the story.
For my 30th birthday, my wife got me a trip to Scotland. And we went because I like golf. We were there for four days, and I got to play three courses.

I think it’s cool if it’s not your significant other. If it was one of my teammates, all of them love designer stuff, so I’d get them, like, a Louis Vuitton gift card. Or an American Express gift card — they can just use it for whatever. That’s the cheat-code gift card.

What’s the best gift under $25?
Wired Apple earbuds. I’m using them right now, but I feel like they got phased out for a long time, but now they’re slowly starting to make their way back.

What’s the last thing you impulse bought for someone else?
We bought our kids stuffed sea otters at SeaWorld when we were in Abu Dhabi.

I gotta say my wife and my mom, because they are the two most genuine people you’ll ever meet. So if they get you, their gifts will be very meaningful. Besides that, Jordan would be dope. A big baller like Bill Gates, just to see if he turns up on the gift. And then, lastly, Abraham Lincoln. I don’t know; I feel like that would be hilarious.
You just got someone you have truly never met for Secret Santa. What are you buying them?
Sounds crazy, but you can’t go wrong with getting someone a facial, especially if it’s at a spa. It’s a whole experience. You get there a little early, and you’re able to use the facilities: the crazy infused waters and all that. You’re hanging out in a robe just vibing. They usually have hot tubs or something that you can do before or after, and then the actual facial itself is super-relaxing. I think everyone can use that, right?

What is your dream gift? Is there any chance you actually get it?
Either this wine — a1945 Chateau Mouton Rothschild— that I really, really want to try, or this one watch, a5711 Patek Philippe Nautilus, blue face, stainless steel. They discontinued it. That was always one of the watches where I was like,Yeah, like, once I make it, I’m gonna get this watch. Do I think I’ll ever get either of them? Probably the wine, most likely not the watch.

What’s the best gift wrap?
I go with whatever gift wrap my wife buys at Target, but I always have to make sure that my gift wrap is not trashy, like it looks like it got thrown around 18 times. Mine is nice and neat. It’s smooth and very precise. That’s me. I’m the neat gift-wrap guy. A gift from me is going to be wrapped perfectly.
