We write about hundreds of products each week. Here, in our version of the Sunday circular, we’ve plucked some of our recent favorites: expert-recommended essentials, life-changing stuff you didn’t know you needed, newly launched gizmos, and very good deals we uncovered while trawling through the vast online-shopping universe — including one writer’s long-lost balm that’s like an “emollient hug for your lips,” our favorite long-sleeved baby tee (that two Strategist writers own), and a plus-size-approved lounge set that’s perfect for any postpartum wardrobe.

Jeans Monthis still going strong on the Strategist. We’re digging deep and hunting down what jeansteens are wearingand the onescelebrities can’t live without. We’re also surveying some of the most tasteful people we know about their favorite pairs. This week, we heard from contributor Erika Veurink, who’s six-foot-two, and our newsletter editor Ashley Wolfgang, who’s four-foot-11, as they visitedGaptotry on eight pairs of in-stock jeansto see how they really fit on different body types. The brand’s High Rise ’90s Straight Jeans have “very flattering back pockets and a length that feels impressive for Gap,” Veurink reports. Wolfgang adds that these were her perfect pair: “The 26-inch inseam on the petite fit hit right past the ankle, and the straight style of the leg felt true to size, as opposed to the much (unintentionally) baggier pairs I tried on at the store.”

For ourStrategist Brain series, we heard from our senior writer Liza Corsillo, who’s been ogling the Steele Canvas website for a new laundry basket and searching for big vintage corduroy shirts. Corsillo also has been following the artist and mom Tess Johnson, or@little_wifeyon Instagram, who dresses in a “sort of hardscrabble homestead-y way that is not twee.” Corsillo says Johnson recently posted a bunch of dresses-over-pants outfits to her Stories, which made Corsillo want to try something similar. “So far, I have done it with a plaid Christy Dawn dress and a plaid pinafore-style dress fromToast, both of which are not currently available. But I think the look could work well with a lot of different dresses,” Corsillo says, adding that she loves plaid ones because they feel neutral and remind her of school uniforms.

[Editor’s note: Corsillo’s dress is currently unavailable, but you can sign up forrestock notifications here.]

Strategist contributor Alison Freer’s Holy Grail lip balm wasBite Beauty’s Agave one, until the brand was eventually sold and all the products were completely reformulated. Freer spent years looking for a replacement and finally turned to Reddit for more answers. One day, she found a sentence that changed everything: “Lixr is a brand by the original founder of Bite that makes tons of lanolin masks.” Freer says the hero ingredient in both the Bite Agave and the Lixr Nocturnal Lip Mask is lanolin, and “the big thing I now know to be true is that lanolin is a huge part of what makes a truly good lip balm.”

When contributorMargaret Ebygotpregnantin May last year, she was immediately faced with a series of fashion problems: “I needed a wardrobe to match my growing belly, and the landscape forplus-size maternitywearis exceptionally bleak,” Eby writes. She says Storq is one of the few maternity brands that has plus sizes (though it cuts off at 4XL), and that while the pieces might be on the expensive side, they’re worth it. She was gifted this three-piece set in navy blue and wore it in the hospital after her C-section. It’s “exceptionally comfortable with easy access for breastfeeding,” Eby adds.

Languedoc marble. “It’s the bright red of a high-nitrate pork product, flecked with white like the beads of fat in a well-mixed salami,” Schwartz says. They’ve been noticing it in trendy spaces in New York and have seen a slew ofred-marble home productson the market. While adding red-marble countertops to your bathroom or kitchen may be prohibitively expensive, Schwartz says CB2 has been early to the red-marble houseware trend and has lots of fun options.

In thelatest installmentofThe Strategist Beauty Brief, our beauty writers shared their can’t-live-without eyeliners. Our writerRachael Griffithssays she wears contacts and has very watery eyes, meaning gel eyeliners tend to run and give her that “non-coveted banshee look toward the end of the evening.” But Griffiths reports that this Rare Beauty eyeliner does not budge. “It’s smooth and creamy; it glides over your lid and your waterline. And it is truly jet black,” she explains.
