Zendaya Wore Danskos
There was a time (the 1990s) when the onlyclogs you’d see on the street were Danskos. Then came the No. 6 wave, the Salter House moment, and a more recent influx of Merrells. This spring there are more comfy slip-on-shoe options around than ever before, but we spied Zendaya in the the same matte-black Dansko Professional clogs that Strategist staffers have been wearing and recommending for more than a decade. Paparazzi shots show her wearing the brand’s most classic and neutral style.
Even if you’re not exhausted from partaking in an A24 movie-press cycle, Danskos are a footwear option worth considering. Professionals have long been a staple among restaurant and hospital workers. Strategist senior writer Lauren Ro got her pair when she was eight months pregnant and desperate for supportive shoes. In addition to liking the way they look, Ro says that in her Danskos she doesn’t miss the custom orthotics she wears for bunions. “When I got them, they became the only shoes I wore for a really long time,” she says.
The Zendaya pregnancy rumors do not start here — we only bring it up in order to emphasize that these are some seriously practical yet unexpectedly stylish shoes.
