Back in March, when it was Jeans Month at the Strategist, we tried denim of all kinds — from slouchy Abercrombie pairs to ones that suit a “hockey butt” — but it was these barrel-leg jeans from Madewell that stood out from the bunch. They were the pair that senior writer Liza Corsillo continued wearing after testing every pair of jeans at Madewell and, it turned out, that at least three other Strategist staffers owned. “The wash is convincingly vintage enough that people never even clock them as Madewell, so I get asked about them all the time,” wrote Corsillo. Now, the jeans are part of Madewell’s sale, bringing the price down to just $70 with the code WINTER (that’s over half off the original price).
