This roundup of things we liked this week originally appeared in the June 6, 2024, edition of theSecret Strategistnewsletter, a weekly email where we share the stuff our staff — plus a rotating cast of writers, design-world people, and various others with very good taste — would otherwise keep to themselves. We found so many good things this week that we had to stop ourselves from just buying it all up instead of saving it for you people!—Katy Schneider and Simone Kitchens

* In Common With, the maker of very appealingchandeliers, pendants, floor lamps, surface mounts, etc., opened a furniture–home-goods store calledQuarters. Nothing is available online, but suffice it to say, this place is overflowing with handsome items, few of which are less than $1,000. We’re attracted to the iron seahorse sconce, though we’re sorry to report it is $7,750, and the red-corduroy-and-sapele bed frame, which we’re sorry to report is $20,000.

* Lastly, guy with great tasteDan Solomitotold us about an excellent Japanese brand, Sillage. (He just bought anapron vestfrom the company. But honestly, all its stuff is pretty great: Greatorange cargo pants, greatSupima-cotton button-downs, greattwill straight-legs, greatsimple jackets, cool shoes …) He also says he recently bought aMontbell hathe’s happy about for runs, hikes, etc. (We’re generally big fans of Montbell.)
