After more than two decades oftesting beauty products, I’ve become somewhat of asunscreenconnoisseur. I take sun protection seriously and happily try every new formula that crosses my desk, but finding one that layers seamlessly under my makeup is always tricky. Too many pill or alter the color of myfoundation. So I was intrigued byIndie Lee’s Daily SPF primerthat promises to melt into skin. What I wasn’t expecting was how glowy it would make my skin look.
At first glance, the formula resembles askin tintwith its dropper packaging, but on skin it feels more like a facial oil. I blended it all over and immediately noticed the radiance. The golden tint was subtle — less color than my tinted sunscreens but despite being non-nano zinc oxide, it disappeared without leaving a white cast. Vitamin E oil adds moisture and antioxidant protection and gave my skin a lit-from-within sheen.

The real test wasapplying foundationon top. I brushed on my usual serum formula and, once everything had set, ran my fingers along my jawline. No pilling — my biggest pet peeve. Even better, my skin had a beautiful glow, almost as if I’d layered aluminizerunder my makeup. It gave my complexion that fresh, radiant look that usually takes an extra step to achieve.
