I’ve hadeczemaall my life. I use a lot of hypochlorous acid and this face mist. My sister introduced me to it about a year and a half ago. It doesn’t directly help with eczema flare-ups, but I’m a creature of comfort and it provides me instant comfort. If my skin feels dry, if I’m traveling anywhere, or if it even feels slightly irritated, I use this mist. It’s especially helpful in California. There’s a misconception here that the weather is great, but it is still chaparral and so dry out here. I’m such a beach baby; I grew up in the Philippines, so I thrive in humidity. California just messes me up.

Hydration is the overarching theme of my list. It’s mostly just because I’m super low-maintenance and I don’t wear a lot of makeup at all. I choose my products by what’s easy for a girl-on-the-go, something I can throw in my bag. Again, with my sensitive, eczema-prone skin, I’m always just looking for my skin to feel hydrated, but not overwhelmed. I usually get flare-ups on my T-zone: my forehead, right by my ears, my cheeks, and right where my chin meets my neck. I’ve tried a lot of products to help, and so many sting during a full flare-up. This one doesn’t at all. It just feels like really nice hydration.

A plant-based snail-mucin alternative

I’m kind of sensitive about the whole snail-mucin thing. I know it works, and I know people love it, but I’m always like, “What about the snails?” This still gives my skin all that same plumpness without any irritation, and it’s plant-based.

Her lightweight go-to foundation

I do not wear a ton of makeup day-to-day. I don’t even wear a ton of makeup on camera, just because podcasting, you’re meant to be ugly. (I think if you’re trying to get too dolled up for podcasting, you’re in the wrong sport.) So day-to-day, I just really love products that make my skin look like I’ve slept well — make it look healthy rather than covered up. I also have this weird thing where I’m claustrophobic tofoundationin general. The moment I get home, I’m like, “I need to just wash it all off.” What I love about this specific primer, though, is it gives me a very subtle glow without ever feeling like foundation. It’s super lightweight. It doesn’t require a full face of makeup, and your skin just looks healthy without being covered.

Again, I love anything that I can just throw in my purse that gives me color and glow without feeling heavy, dry, or chalky. If I’m coming from the beach or just feeling extra crusty and dusty that day, I throw it on. It’s a double-ended stick, so it has the bronzer on one side and it has theblushon the other. I look awake and a little prettier in two minutes. It also feels really hydrating, buttery, and moisturizing. I don’t just use it on my cheeks; I use it on my eyes, I use it on my lips. Anything that I can use for more than one part of my face is a winner for me.

This is one of my mommy drugstore faves as someone who has a toddler who also has eczema. Vanicream is the true family product in our home. Mama, papa, and baby all use the same tub. There’s something really satisfying about finding one product that works for everyone. I love that there’s nothing trendy or flashy about Vanicream. It just moisturizes and moisturizes well. It’s the skin-care equivalent of a white T-shirt. Not flashy but definitely a staple.

This is another mom discovery. I originally bought them for my son when he caught a bug, but now I steal them constantly. Once you use them, regular tissues feel barbaric. Again, it’s a product the whole family can use. During allergy season, colds, travel, or our longer flights back to Hawaii they’re so much gentler than repeatedly wiping your nose with dry tissues.
