While it’s true thatmattresses go on saleall the time, some discounts are much more worth it than others, andAmazon Prime Dayis no different. I’ve spent the past two days rounding up thebest Prime Day sleep deals, and in the process, I’ve found a few Truly Good mattress deals. Below are the fivemattressesI think are most worth buying this Prime Day, from Strategist-favorite brands like Casper, Tuft & Needle, and Leesa.
Casper Prime Day Sales
Casper is running some of the best Prime Day deals I’ve seen so far on mattresses. That may be because the brand is trying to clear out inventory — it launched a brand-new lineup of mattresses recently and seems to be phasing out the older models. But a lot of those older models are very good mattresses!

The Casper Original is an all-foam mattress made with Casper’s AirScape foam, which is a little more responsive and buoyant than traditionalmemory foam. It has “zoned” support, so some sections of the bed are softer or firmer to provide pressure relief or support to different areas of your body. This mattress has a nice mix of comfort and support — yes, it’s foam, but you likely won’t find yourself sinking into it as you might on a Tempur-Pedic.

Also on sale is thehybridversion of the Casper Original — essentially the same mattress but with a coil support layer instead of a foam one. Coils are often preferable for people who want a little extra bounce or support, such as couples or heavier folks.
Tuft & Needle Prime Day Sales
The other brand with consistently good Prime Day discounts is Tuft & Needle.

This basic all-foam mattress is one of our favorite affordable models, and right now it’s on sale for even less than usual. Strategist writer Lauren Ro keeps this mattress in her spare bedroom and says many guests have complimented it. It has a medium-firm feel and a little bounce, which is nice to get in an all-foam bed.

The Mint is the upgraded version of the Tuft & Needle Original mattress above. It’s also all foam but is slightly softer than the Original. Strategist writer Arielle Avila has been sleeping on one of these for a few years and says it feels highly supportive despite the slightly softer feel and it doesn’t cause her to overheat.
Leesa Prime Day Sales
Finally, I’ve seen a few solid sales from Leesa, but the best I’ve found from the brand so far is on the Leesa Original Hybrid.

Ahybrid mattressfor under $1,000 is a good deal, especially when it’s one of our favorites. The Leesa Original Hybrid has a medium-firm feel that can work for a wide variety of people.
