Memorial Day weekend is here and the sales are especially good this year — including many that are 50 percent (or more) off. Whether your summertime wardrobe could use an update or you’re looking for new pieces to brighten up your apartment, there are plenty of excellent deals to be had from Strategist-approved brands, including Lands’ End, J.Crew, Nordstrom, Anthropologie, the Gap, and more. With prices this low, several retailers have marked some of the items below as final sale — something to keep in mind as you’re checking out. I foresee many of these products selling out very quickly, so I’ll do my best to add more deals as I find them into Monday. Madewell and J.Crew are running some of the deepest discounts I saw, which range from 60 percent off to a whopping 80 percent off. I also uncovered deals from more of our favorite clothing brands, including Levi’s, Everlane, and Patagonia. I have my eye on the Gap’s bright-blue jelly flats, which our writer Arielle Avila tested and liked because they have extra padding in the sole for added comfort.

Wayfair’s Memorial Day event is always a great place to start shopping for discounted furniture and home décor because its inventory is so vast.
