As the new owner of a mouth guard, I’m suddenly conscious of the daily maintenance that goes along with wearing one (or a retainer or an aligner). To prevent it from smelling like morning breath, there’s daily brushing and the occasional deep clean. The upkeep isn’t exactly glamorous, but I’ve found it’s slightly less cumbersome if you have a stylish case where the retainer lives when you’re not wearing or washing it. (If I had it my way, those ubiquitousmarbled caseswould remain in middle-school lunchrooms.) Actually nice-looking retainer cases don’t exist in abundance, but here I’ve rounded up the ones I could find, along with a few non-retainer cases that could work as retainer cases.
