Fall starts in just a few weeks (September 22 at 8:05pm EDT, to be precise), and I’m so pumped. Not only is it my favorite season (the leaves, the low humidity, the chill in the air), but I also live in Los Angeles, where the temperature is currently a balmy 96 degrees, so it truly cannot get here soon enough. I’m biding my time by slowly transitioning out of my summer wardrobe (not too fast though, I don’t want to jinx anything!) and browse around for some new, soon-to-be seasonally appropriate pieces. So far, my search has been pretty lucrative — finding seasonal product at thestartof the season can often be a big ask, but the options this year have been plentiful, and oftentimes hiding in plain site. For example: A quick search for “mariner tops” (I love a good stripe) turned up several nicely discounted options, as did one for “fall loafers.” Some of the Labor Day discounts from places like Gap and Banana Republic are still going strong. And Everlane’s sale section in shockingly good right now, with a bunch of classic pieces available in all sizes. And I’ve rounded up all of that, and more, below.
