That’s why I spoke to a panel of folks in the wellness space, including nutritionists, acupuncturists, writers, yoga instructors, and more, to see what they’d gift their own wellness-obsessed friends or want for themselves this holiday season. I also looked into the Strategist’s archive of content to find some of the best wellness gifts we’ve tested. The result was dozens of recommendations, ranging from products that promote better sleep and cleaner cooking to toxic-free home décor and beauty items. Ontario-based brand Living Libations makes organic synthetic-free, fair-trade beauty products. Sperry, a longtime fan, recommends Bliss Tonic, made with a mix of floral and citrus essential oils and moisturizing jojoba and castor oils. “Unlike most roll-on perfumes, the roller ball is made of rose quartz rather than plastic — sold,” she says.

Alexis Smart’s flower essences were brought up by both Sperry and acupuncturistZoe Brown. Brown, who prescribes these to her patients for emotional support and stress regulation, says you can’t go wrong gifting the First Aid Kit (for calming nerves) or My Personal Assistant (for boosting energy). Sperry is partial to thebeauty formulas, which target things like acne, anti-aging, and rosacea. Her favorite, the No. 7 for acne, is “as essential to my skin-care routine as tretinoin,” she says.

Olive oil was brought up by two nutritionists I spoke to — Ayala andDaphne Javitch— for its health benefits (anti-inflammatory effects, improved cardiovascular health, and antioxidant properties, to name a few). Go with one of their recommendations, both of which are cold pressed, hand-harvested, and high in polyphenols (a naturally occurring antioxidant found in olives).

This holiday set comes with a lip stain, blush, and highlighter for an easy, full makeup look.

Eye masks are always a good beauty stocking stuffer. Elemis’s recyclable ones — recommended by Skat and Esmer — are formulated with microalgae, hyaluronic acid, and padina pavonica (a brown algae found on the Mediterranean coast that’s said to have hydrating and anti-aging benefits).

Sperry, who recommends the fairly priced panel to her friends, uses hers before bed or as a sunlight proxy on dark winter mornings. Ayala, who received one from her best friend, says even five minutes of using hers has helped improve her sleep and skin.
