What’s the Actual Difference Between the Tarte and NARS Under-Eye Concealers?

A good concealer is essential for faking flawless, well-rested skin. But there are hundreds, if not thousands, on the market, which can make it difficult for even the most advanced beauty aficionado to choose. Last year, in a hunt for the perfect medium-to-full coverage concealer to hide my serial-killer under eyes — and my hormonal breakouts — I found that two names popped up again and again over the internet. The first was the NARS radiant creamy concealer, a cult classic beloved by celebrities and makeup artists. The other was Tarte’s Shape Tape, a relatively new concealer that quickly became a Holy Grail for basically every YouTube beauty guru I follow.

Both had great stats to back them up: NARS Radiant Creamy is Sephora’s top-selling concealer, and Tarte claims that a tube of Shape Tape is bought every 12 seconds. To find the actual difference, I put the two beloved products head to head: applying Tarte Shape Tape on one side of my face and NARS Radiant Creamy on the other. I hate making my friends (Tarte and NARS) fight, but it’s worth it to help you figure out which product will best suit your skin.

P.S.: In case you’re wondering where I got the earrings, you can find them here.
