What Fragrance Founder Rosie Jane Johnston Buys at the Drugstore

I discovered this when I had babies, which is how I think a lot of people first come across it. It’s popular in those starterbaby kits. My eldest is 19, so I’ve been using this product for almost 20 years. I thought it was like Vaseline and then realized it absolutely is not. I used it as adiaper-rash cream. This one would clear up diaper rash in one night. That’s how I fell so in love with it. Then, in beauty I use it for lips, skin just everything. I put it on my eyelashes, eyebrows. This is probably too much information: I use it on my feet at night. I get terribly dry, cracked heels, and I apply this, put a sock over my feet, and it’s lights out. I am obsessed with this product. They don’t sell it in Australia, or at least it’s really hard to find. My sister has two babies, so I buy her the giant family-size tubs every time I go. There must be some secret ingredient in there that makes it just the best.

I think I discovered them through their original marketing campaign. I thought it was so genius when they were actually showing people with hair in their ads. They’re just easy, goodrazors. I use them, and my 16-year-old and 19-year-old use them. They have a good recycling program, too, which I really appreciate.

My oldest daughter introduced me to this, and I haven’t turned back since. We were away, and I had forgotten my usualmascara, and she let me use hers. I was like, “Is this for real?” The applicator really separates the lashes, so you’re fully coating each one. It’s such a thin little brush that you can get right down to the very root, and it doesn’t get clumpy. It also lengthens and doesn’t drop at all. That’s one of the things that bothers me sometimes about a lot of clean mascaras: It starts to shed, so you get this little darkening under the eyes. But not L’Oréal, not this one! Sometimes you just have to have a little bit of everything.

This to me is a little bit like Aquaphor in the sense that it’s so multipurpose. It’s more of a recent discovery. I love that it’s fragrance free. Strangely, as a fragrance person, I don’t want fragrance in every product, especially stuff that I’m putting on my face. I love simplicity and effectiveness, and it’s affordable. Illiyoon is obviouslyKorean skin care, but that’s what they do so well, right? This is very simple, not overcomplicated, not heavily fragranced, and works.

I love the pink of this. I get Fleur. It’s very warm and doesn’t go on cool. As a redhead, I tend to sit in that warm area. It’s also enormous. I think I’ve only ever bought two, because they last forever. It’s easy, I take it everywhere with me. I just love it.

I’m a dry-brusher. I have been for a while. I think I had the very expensive version of this, like we all did. There’s no need for all that. EcoTools just does it so well. They make it out of recycled bristles, they’re so eco-conscious and affordable. That’s what I love about them.
