Amazon’s annual sales festivalis now on its final day(it lasts for four days this year instead of the regular two), and just like previous years, it’s a really good time to buy avacuum. We’vetested a lot of vacuums, and many of the models we stand behind — like a cordless Dyson dupe and awet-dry vacuumthat can handle cereal spills — go on deep sale for Prime Day, sometimes at the best prices we’ve seen all year.
I went through the Strategist’s deep archive ofvacuum-cleaner contentto find the best deals that are actually worth it. On Prime Day, a lot of original prices get artificially inflated to show a larger discount, so a good rule of thumb is to check the price history on a site likeCamelcamelcamelto make sure you’re not just paying normal price with a sales tag slapped onto it. Prime Day ends at midnight tonight, so if you see something you like, act fast — we’ve already seen some things sell out.

Prime Day is a great time to buy a Dyson — although thenewest Gen5Detectis still expensive, older models like the V8 are just as reliable and are currently on sale for 36 percent off. Strategist writer Michael Zhao also endorses the V15 Detect, which is only slightly less powerful thanthe most recent model: “The Gen5Detect is worth the premium over the V15 at their regular prices, but at this sale price, I’d rather save the $380,” he says.
