Diane von Fürstenberg posted aphoto of herself to Instagramwearing a swim outfit that could only be described as “cat burglar on the open seas.” In it, she is likely on a launch next to her yacht in a black head-to-toe rash guard, a white visor bearing what seems to be the yacht’s logo, webbed water gloves, sunglasses, and a child’s UPF shirt with cutouts worn as a sun-mask-balaclava situation. You have to applaud her ingenuity and commitment to sun protection.
In another photo in the slideshow, she shows a pair of rubberwater shoesfrom international sporting goods chain Decathlon —the same minimalist, Row-like pair we wrote about in 2022. (I bought a pair back then and, in a moment of fashion serendipity, wore them last week at the beach on Fire Island. They’re really that good.) Sadly, they are unavailable in the U.S., but I tracked downa pair in Kuwait.

This all-clear pair from Cressi is pretty close to Decathlon’s Nabaiji Aquafun shoes.

These are polyester but the socklike fit is nice and minimalist.

A simple black rash guard can turn into a sun mask with a few snips of a pair of scissors.

Von Fürstenberg looks to be wearing a full-body zip-front rash guard or swimsuit (and not a neoprene wetsuit, judging by the material). Here’s a similar style.

Von Fürstenberg’s Nabaiji gloves areavailable only internationally, but these would work.

Von Fürstenberg’s visor looks to be branded with the logo ofEos, the yacht she and Barry Diller own. Because it’s proprietary merch, this is as close as you can get to something similar.
