The Best Labor Day Mattress Sales

I always appreciate a sale from Avocado, as the organic-mattress maker doesn’t offer discounts as frequently as some of its competitors; this isn’t the biggest sale it has ever done, but a queen-size latex hybrid for under $2,000 is a solid deal. Leading up to Labor Day, Avocado is offering up to 20 percent off sitewide. That includes 20 percent off the Luxury Organic mattress, 15 percent off Green and Vegan mattresses, and 10 percent off the Eco, kids’, and crib mattresses.

Bear, the maker of ourfavorite hybrid mattress, the Bear Elite Hybrid, is now taking 35 percent off sitewide with the code LDAY, plus you’ll get a free bundle of pillows, sheets, and a mattress protector with any mattress purchase. Reid sleeps on the Bear Elite Hybrid and described it as “a wonderful combination of feeling comfortable and a little cushy while still being firm and supportive.” In addition to the Bear Elite Hybrid, Bear sells the all-foam Bear Original and a few other hybrids that are cheaper than the Elite.

Bedgear is taking up to $300 off its M3 and H Performance mattresses — purchases of a queen size or larger will come with two free pillows. The brand is also offering discounts on bedding and pillows.

Big Fig mattresses are designed for bigger bodies. The brand is offering up to $800 off mattresses with the code LABOR.

Birch makes three latex hybrids, the Birch, Birch Luxe, and Birch Elite, along with a kids’ latex hybrid mattress. Strategist senior writer Liza Corsillo has been sleeping on the Birch Natural for a few years now and reports it has a solidly medium-firm feel, which works well for both her, a back-to-side combination sleeper, and her stomach-sleeper husband. Birch is taking 25 percent off sitewide with the code LDW25, plus you’ll get two free pillows with any mattress purchase.

Brooklyn Bedding is taking 30 percent off with the code LABORDAY30. In addition to nice hybrid beds like the Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Luxe and the Signature Hybrid, Brooklyn Bedding makes the ultrafirm, all-foam Plank, which is one of ourfavorite firm mattresses, and the Titan Plus, which offers additional support for heavier folks.

Casper is taking up to 35 percent off mattresses. Strategist contributor Kiki Aranita is a devoted fan of the Casper One, ourfavorite less expensive all-foam mattress, and says it has an ideal middle-of-the-road firmness. The biggest discounts are on the Snow and Snow Max mattresses, both of which havecoolingtech.

Take 25 percent off sitewide at Helix with the code LDW25. The brand’s mattresses are sorted into three lines — Core, Luxe, and Elite — each of which contains six mattresses ranging from ultrasoft to ultrafirm. The Core mattresses are the cheapest and most minimal; the Elite are the most expensive and extravagant.

This purveyor of all things latex is offering up to $700 off mattresses and up to 40 percent off latex toppers. The company has two all-latex-foam mattresses, one of which is double-sided, plus a hybrid option.

Leesa is taking 30 percent off sitewide for Labor Day. The brand sells a wide selection of mattresses, including ourfavorite all-foam mattress, the Leesa Original; ourfavorite less expensive hybrid mattress, the Leesa Original Hybrid; and ourfavorite cooling mattress, the Leesa Legend Chill Hybrid.

Naturepedic sells a variety of latex mattresses designed with other natural materials like organic cotton and wool. For Labor Day, the brand is offering 20 percent off sitewide.

Nest makes a variety of mattresses, including two kids’ mattresses (both of which we’ve tested). Its Labor Day sale includes free bedding bundles with mattress purchases, as well as 20 percent off the Sparrow, Owl, Starling, and Finch mattresses.

Nolah sells a variety of hybrid mattresses, all-foam mattresses, and even a natural-latex hybrid option. For Labor Day, the brand is offering 30 percent off sitewide.

Parachute has sitewide deals of up to 20 percent off orders of $500 or more and up to 15 percent off orders of $300 or more. The Eco Mattress, Parachute’s foam-freeinnerspringmattress, is currently 20 percent off.

Sealy is offering up to $300 off the Sealy Posturepedic Elite mattress collection, which includeshybridsandinnersprings.

For Labor Day, Serta is taking up to $925 off mattress and adjustable base sets with iComfort and Perfect Sleeper mattresses.

Sleep Number is offering 40 percent off the pSE Special Edition mattress, 50 percent off the iLE Limited Edition mattress, and up to 25 percent off its smart beds.

Stearns & Foster is running its usual holiday deal: Take $200 off its Studio and Estate mattresses, $400 off the Lux Estate and Lux Hybrid mattresses, and $600 off the Reserve mattress.
