The holiday of treating your loved ones has come and gone. Now, it’s time to treatyourself.There are tons of excellent New Years sales on everything from clothes to beauty to tech. (Some of these are holdovers from after-Christmas or year-end sales, so you might see that language on certain websites, too.) As is often the case, a lot of the best deals are on apparel, particularly cold-weather items, so it’s a good time to get a super-discountedcoatorsweateror perhaps grab a pair ofleggingsto keep you motivated for your New Year’s resolutions. But there are New Year deals in many other categories, too, including Strategist-approvedcookware, furniture, kids’ gear, and more.
Below, I’ve compiled all the best sales to shop, organized first by category, and then alphabetically by brand. Many of them end sometime during the first week of January, so pay attention to end dates, and happy shopping!

Women’s fashion deals
Alex Mill doesn’t have an official end-of-year sale this year, but it’ssales binhas plenty of winter styles discounted up to half off. The Nico striped cardigan — one of our and readers’ favorites — is under $100 in the striped colorway, but if you prefer a solid color, the Greene St. Cardigan looks just as chunky and vibrant (and is 60 percent off). And for something you can wear into spring, the twill Mercer shirt is also more than half off in red, green, and khaki.
Anthropologie’s sale section is perpetually full of good deals, but it’s even better right now.Thousands of sales styles are an extra 50 percent off, which makes lots of items 70 percent off (or more) at checkout. Grab something sparkly (the pant options in particular abound), a fun accessory, or just some everyday basics while they’re $25 or less.

Everything is between 10 and 20 percent off at Aritzia through January 1, and some styles are up to half off. Even the smaller discounts are pretty good for the brand, especially on in-season styles like the ever-popular SuperPuff (just note stock is low on several colors, so you may have to click around to find your size). The also very popular Effortless Pant is now 20 percent off and well stocked in most colors and sizes. And the brand’s beloved loungwear is a bit more affordable at around $20 off for most pieces.
Many styles are an extra 30 percent off at Athleta, making some of the brand’s leggings, sports bras, and more athletic apparel half off or more. And for a limited time, theTranquil Waffle collectionis 40 percent off.
Babaà makes some of our favorite heirloom-worthy sweaters, which rarely go on sale. The knits have landed on ourStrategist writers’ wish listsand in ourBest in Class guide to sweatersand are known for being made of high-quality natural materials that get softer with time. Banana Republic
In case you missed it:Banana Republic is very good right now. “It finally feels like the same brand that had Nora Ephron and Hunter S. Thompson write product reviews for itsmail-order catalogue,” says fashion writerAmbar Pardilla. Now’s a good time to shop, as sale styles are up to 60 percent off for the Winter Sale.
Ban.do sells a delightful assortment of clothes, décor, office goods, and more. Right now, all sale items are an extra 35 percent off with code OHYEAH, and that includes a lot of Baggu (and some cute PJs, too).
The Bloomingdale’s sale takes up to 65 percent off women’s clothing, including one of ourfavorite bras for small breastsand some very vintage-looking Re/Done jeans. It’s also worth perusing the discounted knitwear selection, which includes this pretty-in-pink Guest in Residence cardigan.
For the last week, you’ve been able to get up to 70 percent off atEverlane’s end-of-year sale— but now the brand has added anadditional20 percent off those already marked-down items. The wool-cashmere Cocoon sweater that Brenley Goertzen recently named a runner-up inher hunt for a new best overall sweateris now up to half off. (“I loved the relaxed silhouette, round neckline, and the textured knit, which almost felt ribbed,” she says.) I also found a couple of cozy V-necks great for winter layering. And you can’t go wrong with Everlane pants. There are a few pairs are over half off right now, including comfy barrels, dark wash Mid-Way jeans, and a pair of pleated denim pants for only $38.

Sales styles are an extra 50 percent off for Free People’sAfter-Holiday Sale. Weparticularly like the brand’s outerwear and activewear, but its loungewear, jeans, and dresses are worth a look, too.

Gap
2025 was the year ofthe Gapaissance, and it’s a good time to stock up on all the great stuff the brand has been putting out this year, with big discounts (up to 80 percent) on comfy undies and sweats, jeans in every possible silhouette, and lots of other cozy staples to get you through the rest of winter.
L.L.Bean just added hundreds of new items to its sales bin, where items are up to half off. Many of the discounts are on the lower end, but as L.L.Bean rarely has sales, they’re still worth it. You’ll have to dig, but you can find shearling-lined Bean Boots for over 20 percent off, a classic pullover for $15 off, and plenty of chunky sweaters for 20 percent off or more.
Ring in 2026 with 26 percent off everything at cool-girl brand Lisa Says Gah.
Lululemon’s sale is really just a restock of its We Made Too Much sales bin, but it’s a worthy scroll. The brand’s classic Alignleggingsare as low as $49, depending on the color (and you’ll have to click around to find a color with your size in stock), and lots more activewear, athleisure, and accessories are up to half off.
Items are up to 60 percent off at Macy’s sale (including some very cute boots and bags to give the sweaters and puffers you have on rotation a visual refresh).
Sales styles are up to 70 percent off with code WINTER for Madewell’s Winter Sale. Thebarrel-leg jeans four Strategist staffers ownare now over half off, but lots of tops, sweaters, and more are even cheaper, with tees as low as $12.
Nordstrom’sHalf-Yearly Salejust started, and there are thousands of discounted items in every category. The women’s fashion section is notasstrong as usual, but I still found several worthy deals, including big-buckle Birkenstocks for up to 38 percent off in several neutral shades, a nice pair of Vuori leggings for 20 percent off (all sizes are available, which is rare for on-sale Vuori), and half off some slouchy Free People jeans.
Outdoor Voices (which, I’m sure you know,relaunched this past summer) has an end-of-year sale with items up to 60 percent off. I pulled a couple of staples we loved from the first time we tested the new version of the brand — but there are plenty of more recent designs marked down, too.
Reformation’sWinter Salestarted over a week ago, but it’s still full of good deals on styles for every season, from cashmere sweaters and jeans to wedding-guest dresses and going-out tops. For more, see writer Kitty Guo’s25 favorite deals from the sale here.
Shopbop doesn’t have an explicit New Year sale, but it’s full of truly great stuff across the board. I pulled a few favorites, but there is plenty to peruse: accessories, shoes, denim, going-out tops, basics, and more.
Uniqlo has some great outwear on sale right now, including its super-warm puffer. There are also great pieces for layering, like this soft zippered cardigan that goes up your neck and thelightweight compact version of the pufferthat I wear myself all winter long.
Men’s fashion deals
Once again, Alex Mill has some good men’s clothes on sale now (even if it isn’t explicitly advertising this as an end-of-year sale). I think it’s a good time to stock up on some year-round basics, like its very well-made T-shirts and button-downs. Though if for some reason you’re still feeling like your winter wardrobe isn’t up to snuff, it’s got a lot of sweaters and outerwear at great discounts, too.

Luxury menswear from brands like Burberry and Polo Ralph Lauren is marked down by up to 65 percent at Bloomingdale’s right now, and I also spotted a few 100 percent wool sweaters from the Bloomingdale’s in-house Men’s Store for under $150.
As with its women’s section, Everlane’s men’s sale has many styles up to 70 percent off, now with an extra 20 percent off on top of that. Some are already selling out in a fair number of sizes, but I picked out a few favorites below that are still mostly available — including a couple of nice shirts and a classic crewneck cashmere sweater in an especially nice shade of green. There are also some nice pants, including twill and corduroy trousers, and a pair of comfy joggers.

Gap
If you’re after everyday wardrobe basics, the Gap menswear section is extra-affordable for the next few days. Take an extra 50 percent off already marked-down items, including button-down shirts, crew socks, and sweats.
J.Crew is offering an additional 70 percent off sale styles with code NEWYEAR, making for some incredibly low prices for very nice pieces. You may have to pick through certain items with limited sizing (many of which are final sale), but I pulled a few more widely available tops below.
While L.L.Bean doesn’t have the steepest discounts, its stuff rarely goes on sale at all, so it feels worthwhile to pull some seasonal items.
The men’s sale section at Lululemon is on the smaller side, but most of the discounts are impressive. Their super-warm puffer is nearly half off in both colors. It has a few different styles of discounted hoodies and pants. Plus there are some great one-offs — everything from a warm beanie to a backpack to a water bottle — to be found.
Madewell often has good sales, and this one does not disappoint. Sale items are an additional 50 percent off with code WINTER, and the selection includes denim, of course, as well as button-downs and sweaters and accessories.
Outdoor voice has markdowns up to 60 percent off for men (and in the case of the last item listed below, a little more than that). The sale includes a lot of basics like T-shirts and shorts (it’s not a bad idea to think ahead to warmer weather). Here, I’ve rounded up a few cozier picks, like joggers, a waffle crewneck shirt, and a half-zip fleece.
Beauty deals
Amazon has a Winter Sale right now with items in every category up to 40 percent off. The beauty section is somewhat sparse, but I found a few good deals — a Braun IPL for 30 percent off, a Laneige gift set, and several Redken shampoos and conditioners.
Select items are up to 50 percent off at Glossier’s end-of-season sale, including three of our favorites: Several wintery flavors of the brand’s popular Balm Dotcom lip balm (our topbest-smelling balm) are just $10, all shades of the Cloud Paint bronzer are marked down to $16 (a discount of $8), and the Perfecting Skin Tint (afavorite tinted moisturizer) is almost half off.
There are tons of beauty sets on sale at Sephora, including a set of Ouai hair-care products, which were already a good value and are now especially cheap. But plenty of single-item favorites are on sale, too, like seasonal scents of ourfavorite refillable hand sanitizer.
Tech deals
Amazon’s tech section is always decent. Some of the best deals right now: Beats Studio Pros, which arestill almost half off; a case for your new Kindle; and half off our favorite affordable smart plug(which has nine ports).
Tons of tech is up to 60 percent off at Best Buy’s sale, which runs through January 1. Lots of Apple products are discounted, and MacBooks are as low as $800, but you’ll find tons more tech from every brand. Note that some deals end before January 1 (like the AirPods 4 deal, which ends tomorrow), so read carefully and shop soon.
Home and kitchen deals
Save up to 40 percent off furniture, décor, and more at Article’s New Years Sale. As with most Article sales, a lot of discounts are on the smaller end, but you’ll still $100 or more on several higher-priced products.
For a limited time, everything is up to 20 percent off at Artifact Uprising, maker of our favorite non-office-ywall calendarsand customizable photo albums. Just use code FRESHSTART at checkout.
The Bloomingdale’s home-goods sale section is replete with many of our favorite brands, from Marimekko to Staub to Caraway. It’s also worth noting that many Tumi luggage pieces are discounted by 20 percent, including those from the luxury travel brand’s best-selling (andworth-it) Alpha collection.
Boll and Branch makes some of ourfavorite sheets, and you can save an extra 20 percent off sale items, which includes the brand’s signature sheets and other bedding.
For its end-of-year sale, Brooklinen’s taking up to 75 percent off its Last Call section (which is final sale). That makes its sage-colored waffle duvet cover almost half off, it’s classic percale duvet cover just $97, and its breezy cotton robe just $76.
Everything at the Company Store is up to 30 percent off for itsSemi-Annual Salewith code COZY26, including ourbest overall down comforterand some of ourfavorite jersey bedsheets.
For Coyuchi’sYear-End Sale, which runs through December 31, all sale items are an additional 20 percent off, which makes some of our favorite bedding and bath items up to 70 percent off. Go with ourfavorite flannel sheets, a new set of plush bath towels, or a pretty floral Coyuchi x Rejuvenation duvet.
Design Within Reach’s New Year Sale has a lot to offer. There’s expensive furniture marked down, so if you’re in the market for any bigger pieces, the entire section is worth a look. Here, I’ve pulled some smaller and more affordable pieces — now even more so.
Tableware brand Fable is having a sale through January 12 with 30 percent off sitewide. I’ve pulled some of my favorite items from the brand, including its perfect-size pasta bowls, a complete set of dinnerware for those who are looking for a full refresh, and hefty, high-end-feeling rocks glasses.
MoMA Design Store has some fun items as part of its sale for up to 50 percent off, plus certain clearance items (like that adorable bowl) for even greater discounts.

We often stick to tried-and-true brands when shopping Wayfair, and you’ll find plenty of those — with good discounts — in the kitchen section, like Ninja, KitchenAid, and Cuisinart.
Williams Sonoma has up to 75 percent off sale items right now. A lot is Christmas-themed tableware and décor (honestly, not a bad idea to stock up for next year) — but there are also some year-round gems to be found. Below, a few of them.
Kids

Macy’s has a bunch of cute kids clothes, including up to 50 percent off cold-weather gear, cute sets that include jackets and vests, and basics like this five-pack of onesies you can get from newborn size all the way up to 24 months.
Nordstrom’s Half-Yearly sale has lots of kids clothes, toys, and gear in the mix. I’m charmed by the baby UGG slippers, but there are tons of shoes, tops, pants, and more for kids of all ages. And I think little kids would enjoy this dinosaur bath-bomb set.
If you’re still in the market for toys, Walmart’s your best bet for on-sale ones. I found Legos and Nerf guns still discounted at its end-of-year Clearance event. But if you’re after clothes, I found a few nice options, too, like kids’ Skechers.
