Apple’s headphones are among this Amazon Prime Day’s biggest hits, but finding the right pair isn’t quite as simple as grabbing the biggest discount. Some of the sales are on older models already destined for clearance, but the additional discounts still make them great buys. Other on-sale models are part of the current lineup yet lack features found in higher-end models that don’t cost much more.
Not all of the Prime Day deals are that great — EarPods, for instance, are only $2 less than the usual price. Here, I’ve thoroughly reviewed all the current Prime Day deals on all of Apple’s headphones (not just AirPods) to develop this list of the pretty good, the so-so, and the actually great deals.

The very best Apple AirPods deals for Amazon Prime Day
The AirPods 4 may be thecheapest wireless earbuds on sale right now, but thenoise-canceling versionis also on sale at its lowest price ever. They’re well worth the upgrade for commuters and office workers. The discount on AirPods Max is only 22 percent, but that still means saving $120. Meanwhile, the AirPods Pro 2 may have been replaced by theAirPods Pro 3(which aren’t on sale), but, as audio reviewer Jordan McMahon reports in our guide to thebest wireless earbuds, these headphones are more alike than different. I’d expect their actual street price to be around $210 once this sale ends, not $250. However, $40 off is still a significant discount.

Beats headphones aren’t technically AirPods, but they’re made by Apple using the same wireless technology that makes AirPods, so they’re convenient for iPhone and Mac users. These bass-heavy wireless earbuds have a noise-blocking in-ear design similar to the AirPods Pro — although they lack the new live-translation feature. That said, this is an excellent price, matching its all-time low.

The on-ear version has most of the same features and feels more comfortable on smaller heads. However, according to price tracking, they typically sell for around $150, so the discount is not as substantial as it appears.

Remember when these used to come with every new iPhone? Well, now they cost $19, but they’re currently on sale for 11 percent off. This is actually a very competitive price for USB-C headphones. (Similar options fromSony,JBL, andPhillipsstart at $25.) That said, $2 is not a discount I would be sad to miss out on.
