October Prime Day is here, and we’re updating this story hourly. To find the best deals in every category, follow all of our October Prime Day coverage.
The final day of Prime Day is winding down, and if you’re just joining us: The sales are plentiful and (mostly) quite good. I’ve been covering the sale since 2022 (and I regularly peruse Amazon’s deals page as the Strategist’s deals editor), so I’m here to be your guide on how to shop smartly. Lots of Strategist-tested and -approved products are available at exceptional discounts — discounts we likely won’t see until Black Friday, if ever — so it’s a good time to get holiday shopping done early or just stock up on best-of-the-best products. But the deals end tonight at 2:59 a.m. ET, so the time to shop is now.
To make shopping easy, I’ve broken down my finds into 16 categories. Use the links below (listed alphabetically) to jump down to a specific category if you know what you’re after. Deals I personally think are the best
Laneige lip balms always make it on my list of top deals because Prime Day is truly the best time of the year to buy them. Stock up now (they make good stocking stuffers). It’s also a good time to buy an on-sale moisturizer; might I suggest this extra-soothing one from Avène? I love it (and I have supremely sensitive skin). Levi’s jeans are always at their best price during Prime Day; I’m eyeing this bootcut pair that’s now over half off. I’m also enamored by this teeny-tiny version of Bissell’s Little Green carpet cleaner, now just $75. This LEGO set would be an excellent gift for kids of all ages (especially the ones who are hard to shop for). Finally, Purple’s eye-wateringly expensive pillow is now a bit more accessible. It’s our sleep writer’s (and my) favorite pillow.
