As the Strategist’s tech writer, I’ve tested at least a dozenBluetooth speakers, ranging from large, boom-box-style speakers and funky ones that resemblelava lampsto tiny speakers you can tuck into in a carry-on or clip around your shower head. Sony’s SRS-XB100 is my pick for those who want a portable speaker that doesn’t cost a whole lot of money. Even at full price, it’s a good deal: The sound is surprisingly good for such a small speaker, and it gets quite loud for its size. Right now, though, it’s discounted to its lowest price ever, saving you 37 percent on our best less-expensive Bluetooth speaker.
