It continues to be our favorite facial sunscreen because it contains both physical and chemical SPF filters and is so moisturizing it can be used in place of a face cream if your skin isn’t too dry.

Supergoop is discounting lots of its best sellers, including the Unseen Sunscreen, which changed the sunscreen landscape with its slippy, whisper-thin texture. The brand recently reformulated, and now it’s even better — and 20 percent off.

Lots of mineral sunscreens are available too, including our favorite option for sensitive skin. It’s especially good if you’re concerned about irritation; this one is fragrance free. It also turns blue when exposed to light, a helpful reminder to reapply.

If you’re willing to spend a bit more, dermatologists (and Strategist senior editor Crystal Martin) love this sunscreen, which, despite the all-mineral formula, doesn’t leave a white cast and goes on smooth. And if the sunscreen doesn’t totally rub in, there’s a tinted version too.
