What Lori Harvey Can’t Live Without

If you’re like us, you’ve probably wondered what famous people add to their carts. Not the JAR brooch and Louis XV chair but the hair spray and the electric toothbrush. We asked Lori Harvey — who is launching a new skin-care line called SKN by LH — about the hair oil, green juice, and leggings she can’t live without.

I like a hand cream that’s not too thick, but also doesn’t make me feel like I need to apply more lotion after I use it. This is the perfect consistency. It’s really creamy and leaves my hands feeling super-moisturized. It gives them a nice glow and it smells good, almost as if it has a hint of Chanel perfume in it. I couldn’t tell you which perfume, but it smells very luxurious. I put it when I wash my hands. I wash my hands a lot, like 20 times a day.

One of my best friends swore by this device. I used hers one night and my skin was incredible the next morning, so I immediately ordered one. High-frequency treatments are really good for increasing oxygen in the skin and improving its overall texture and tone. This is also really good if you have breakouts — that’s what I love it for. If I see a little bump or pimple coming in, I’ll just zap it and it’s gone by the morning.

I do Pilates a lot and these are the perfect pants to workout in. They shape the body really well and are super-comfy. I’m kind of obsessed with them and probably wear them too much. I have at least ten pairs. I love wearing black to work out. I’m trying to switch up and get into colors more, but I always go back to black.

I drink celery juice first thing in the morning, every single morning. I’ve been doing it for at least three years. One of my trainers swore by it and got me hooked. It’s great for digestion and inflammation and is a good source of antioxidants. If you want a flat tummy, it’s really good for that, too. It tastes like a very healthy green juice — not the best taste, but you get used to it after a while and the results are worth it.

My hair used to be really long — it fell right to the top of my butt. Then I cut it to my shoulders. I’ve been trying to grow it back and this oil is the first product I’ve used that has actually worked since I started that process. I try to use it for like, two, three days before a wash day and really oil my scalp up. My hair falls below the middle of my back now — it grew in a matter of months. The oil has rosemary in it, which is good for hair growth, and peppermint, which makes your scalp feel fresh and tingly. Anytime someone tells me that they’re trying to grow their hair, I recommend this and they fall in love with it immediately.

I’m a bit picky with jeans. Getting the fit right is hard. I love the way Samaria does these jeans. She takes vintage Levi’s, reworks them, and redesigns them all herself. The styles are so dope. They’re among the only jeans that I wear now. I have a bunch of pairs, but there’s nothing else out there like these. The way they are cut up at the top is so unique.

You can never go wrong with a pair of black sunglasses. This shape looks really good on my face. Not all sunglasses do, which is why these are a favorite. The shape is different from anything else that I have. I normally do a more compact frame, but these are very different and still fit well.

This has been my go-to lip gloss for the past couple years. I love a nude lip. I do a pop of color every now and then but my go-to is a nude lip and Flesh Astral is the perfect nude. I love how rich the color is and I love the consistency of the gloss. I hate when lip gloss is super-sticky. This one is nice and smooth.
