What Tennis Player Amanda Anisimova Can’t Live Without

I started using these a few years ago because I liked the way they looked. I was tired of the classic AirPods. These are sportier and cooler and they actually work very well. I’m someone who listens to a lot of music, so I always have headphones in my ears, and especially when I train. Always music, never podcasts. If I’m just walking around, I love Gracie Abrams. I’m a big fan of hers. But if I’m about to go to a workout class, I’m really into house music, so maybe someone like John Summit. And I have quite a few playlists that are very random, with different remixes of classic songs. I have one with “Like a Prayer,” by Madonna, then a remix of it that’s more upbeat.

If I’m applying any makeup, I always use this. It’s pretty lightweight, but still has a lot of coverage. I just put it on, then use a brush to blend it in, and I find that it works really well. I actually learned about it from a friend, and I’m staying at her house right now. She introduced me to it, and I’ve introduced it to other friends now. It’s getting popular. Day to day, I keep my makeup very light. And unfortunately you can’t wear this while playing, really. It always comes off. On the court, it’s just good skin care and sunscreen.

It’s actually not necessarily just an overnight treatment. Or at least not for me. I sometimes just put it on after I wash my hair, so it could be midday. It’s not really a thick mask like it is presented to be. It’s more of a treatment, and it keeps my hair smooth and healthy. It has really helped with breakage a lot. If I’m using it right before I go to sleep, I generally put my hair in a braid afterward, and then when I wake up, it’s not greasy or oily and my hair looks really good in the morning. I have wavy hair, and it can be pretty crazy and hard to tame sometimes, and this helps.

I think I’ve used it for eight years. A long time. And I love it. It’s ideal for wearing during the day, because it’s very light and it’s floral. I always bring it on every trip. It’s my signature. I was really young when I discovered it, just walking around and trying different scents, and when I smelled this one I knew right away.

So I bought this after the U.S. Open last year. It was a post-final gift to myself. I was walking around New York, and I saw it on Fifth Avenue and instantly fell in love with it. I love anything brown, and it is also a perfect travel bag. It fits quite a lot. I always travel with a book, my iPad, and a stuffed animal, which is kind of embarrassing, but it’s comforting to sleep with when I’m on the road 80 percent of the year. I also bring my small bag of toiletries, and sometimes I have snacks in there, too. It fits everything and it doesn’t overflow.

These were actually a gift from one of my best friends after I did well at a tournament. I think it was in Doha. When I got back to Miami, she gave them to me. I love wearing things or using things that my friends give me because there’s sentimental value to them. And these also suit me perfectly, so they’re my go-tos. I have a few pairs of Chanel sunglasses, and I always get thick-framed ones because I tend to accidentally sit on them or misplace them. I break sunglasses quite often, and they’re quite expensive, so that’s unfortunate when that happens. But these have been pretty durable. I’ve had them for over a year now, and they’re still alive, through all my traveling.

This is my favorite item on the list. Pure Leaf and I just started working together right before the U.S. Open, which was very exciting, because I actually grew up drinking Pure Leaf. My mom introduced me to it when I was young. She always had it stocked up in the house. It’s brewed with real tea leaves, so it’s a very natural and healthy alternative to a lot of other iced-tea brands, so that’s kind of how we got into it. Now, it’s my my go-to when I’m at the airport, given I’m traveling all the time. It’s very revitalizing. When I need a small break, I can just take a sip and then keep going. I typically go for the unsweetened one because I drink quite a lot of it. It’s light and refreshing. But if I’m feeling kind of fruity in the summer, I love to go for the raspberry one as well.
