I Tried Target’s Parachute Collab, and I’m Pretty Impressed

Target just launched a collection with Parachutethat includes more than 200 items across bedding, bath, and décor. While the prices are more expensive than Target’s in-house home brands, they’re still a great deal consideringParachute’s tried-and-true quality. I got the chance to test a couple of pieces beforehand and can say that the organic cotton and linen-blendsheetsare very nice — and about a $100 and $170 cheaper, respectively, than their original counterparts. I also received a throw pillow made with cotton velvet with contrasting piping detail that I like. Below, I’ve rounded up some of my favorites from the collaboration, available online and in stores now. If the sample pieces I received are any indication, this collection’s quality can hold its own against Parachute’s normal lineup.
Bedding

These sheets are made from organic cotton and have a lived-in feel and are neither labeled as percale nor sateen. They felt incredibly soft but still on the crisper side straight out of the box. The product description calls them “best for hot sleepers,” which makes them closer to percale. I imagine that they are a version ofParachute’s Brushed Cotton sheets, which go for $269 for a queen set. I also found it interesting that the Target sheets are made from organic cotton, while none of Parachute’s sheets are.

Parachute sent me the relaxed linen striped sheets as well. These are made with a 55 percent linen and 45 percent cotton blend and have a nice texture that’s softer than all-linen sheets but still have that rustic look and feel inherent to linen. They’re a good entry point, both price wise and in terms of fabrication, for someone who might be on the fence about going all in on linen.Parachute’s linen sheetscost $359 for a queen set, for comparison. One note: Sheets from the collaboration are only available in queen and king sizes.

You could opt for the linen pillowcases in case you wanted to give them a spin before committing to a set of sheets, which are available in stripes, like the above, or in bold solid colors like Absinthe (shown here), Cove, and Pecan.
