Back-to-school shopping is well underway — and you don’t have to be a student to enjoy the sales. In fact, not everything here is technically a back-to-school sale. We’re starting to get into Labor Day sales territory this week, with lots of non-school-related deals from brands like Casper or J.Crew. But if you are prepping to move into a dorm or new apartment soon, I spotted lots of deeply discounted storage, furnishings, and other essentials at Amazon, Target, and Wayfair that you’ll want to snap up.

Below, I’ve organized the deals alphabetically by merchant. I’ll be checking back in to add even more sales as they roll in — and if you don’t want to miss any sales coverage (including subscriber-only deals), be sure to sign up for our email newsletter for the latest.

Dorm and college essentials — including coffee makers, cordless vacuums, and backpacks — are on sale at Amazon.

San Francisco–based shoe studio Bryr rarely has sales, but over 400 pairs of its status-y, Strategist-approved clogs are on sale through August 21. (You’ll need to explore by size.)

Casper’s Labor Day sale has started already, and everything is up to 20 percent off (no code needed) through September 12. Treat yourself to a blanketlike robe, a new mattress, or our best cooling pillow.

Multipacks at Clevr Blends are 25 percent off with the code NEWRITUAL. There are eight oat-milk-based flavors to choose from, including a rose matcha I’ve been sipping all summer and a lattelike instant coffee recommended by a former Strategist writer. Each set comes with a scoop and a rechargeable whisk.

Thousands of Strategist-approved skin-care, hair-care, and beauty products are up to 25 percent off with the code CHEERS through August 17 for Dermstore’s Anniversary Sale. You can find all of our picks from the sale rounded up here.

Kit out your dorm room with our favorite cooling bamboo sheets — and the matching mattress protector — which are $40 off in size twin and twin XL with the code BACK2SCHOOL through the end of August.

Desks and dressers are on sale through September 5, including one of our best laptop tables.

Hundreds of end-of-summer and early autumn styles are up to 50 percent off through August 21.

There’s a warehouse sale happening at Levi’s right now, and denim for everyone is up to 75 percent off — which is the cheapest I’ve seen it in a long time. (You will have to enter an email address to access the sale, however.) Plus full-price items are 30 percent off when you spend over $125.

Madewell’s sales bin is full of end-of-summer styles. Plus select already on-sale styles in the men’s section are an extra 50 percent off with the code SALEONSALE.

Apparel and gear in past-season colors are up to 50 percent off through August 22.

Start-up toothbrush company Quip is known for making sleek-looking, minimalist toothbrushes at an affordable price. Select products are 40 percent off — like our favorite (less expensive) electric toothbrush for kids — with the code FOCUS40 through August 25.

Tons of outdoor gear and apparel are up to 50 percent off from brands like Adidas, Fjällraven, Hoka, Patagonia, and REI’s in-house line.

Reformation rarely has sales, and for a limited time a nice selection of tees, denim, dresses, and shoes are 30 percent off.

Rumpl’s sleeping-bag-like picnic blankets, pillows, drink koozies, and more are 25 percent off in select colors through August 24.

Speck’s ultrasturdy (and drop-proof) tech cases are 25 percent off with the code SPECK25.

Lots of dorm stuff is 20 percent off, from storage to bath décor to bedding. We also spotted deals on kids’ clothing, reusable lunch containers, and even Apple products.
