Live Updates: What Brands Have Announced About Tariff Price Changes

The full impact of thenewly announced tariffson imports is still uncertain, but to help our readers sort through the mess, the Strategist will be keeping an eye on any brand announcements in response. (And my colleague Emma Wartzman hasspoken with over a dozen founders on how they’re moving forward.) Here, I’ve compiled a list of brands that have said whether they are raising prices or not, along with any additional information they’ve provided. I’ll be updating this story as more brands come out with responses, so be sure to save it using the bookmark above.

Furniture and home goods

Starting May 1, Great Jones prices are going up. In an email to customers, founder Sierra Tishgart also warned of periodic stock-outs for some of the brand’s impacted products, so if you’ve been eyeing a new sheet pan or Dutch oven, now’s the time.

Omie OmieBox
OmieBox — which makes our favorite bento box for hot lunches — has officially raised its prices across the board. But for the next week, shoppers can use the code BEFORETARIFFS at checkout to shop at the old prices.

Combustion announced on its Instagram page that it would be raising prices soon. It currently has limited inventory available at pre-tariff pricing if you want to beat the price hike.

Australian brand Deiji Studios sent out an email announcing that absorbing cost changes would not be “feasible” for the brand and changes would be going into effect in May. But through April, orders under $800 will still ship for free, and the brand is also running a 20 percent off sitewide sale (excluding new arrivals) for its U.S. costumers with code WELOVE20.

Swedish brandHemsent out an email from its CEO, Petrus Palmér, to customers last week. It said the company does not foresee any immediate changes in prices because it has a dedicated warehouse in Chicago.

Room & Board announced in an Instagram post that its prices will remain the same through July and its twice-yearly clearance events (including one scheduled for Memorial Day weekend) will still happen.

Also on the furniture front, Jacksonville, Florida–headquarteredIndustry Westsent out a message Thursday informing customers that it’s “facing unexpected cost increases that could result in price adjustments over the next week or two. This is not a sales tactic — just a necessary response to these unprecedented circumstances. Our goal is to keep prices as stable as possible, and we are actively working to mitigate these changes.”

RH Cloud Sofa
RH (formerly Restoration Hardware) has already raised its prices. It’s unclear exactly how much, but for what it’s worth, the Cloud Sofa’s base price seems to have increased from $4,260 to $4,930 since March of last year.

Saatva Classic Mattress - Queen
Saatva, the maker of ourfavorite overall mattress, is having a sale on beds, bed frames, and rugs. Over the weekend, a banner for the sale on its website was posted, which now reads, “Don’t wait: Beat tariff increases,” so we’ll take that as a sign that price increases are likely ahead. Our sleep writer, Amelia Jerden, has also reached out to the company for more information, and we’ll report back on any updates.

Also on the mattress front is Avocado, which will be raising prices in early May. In the meantime, you can save 10 percent off all of its mattresses during the brand’s Earth Month Sale, which is running until May 5.

Areawaresent out an email to customers saying it’ll eventually have to raise prices. The good news: This won’t be in effect until July, so if there’s something you’ve been eyeing, now is the time to get it priced as is.

Likeseveral other brands Wartzman reported on, Zwilling is increasing its prices. “There’s just no way around it,” says Joanna Rosenberg, Zwilling’s chief sales and marketing officer, who noted that changes go into effect on June 1.

Material, the maker of our favoritecutting board(among otherkitchen tools), sent an email to customers this week. It says some products will require price increases, some will be momentarily out of stock, and some will need to be retired.

Souper Cubes, which makes silicone trays for freezing soups and sauces, sent an email stating its prices will increase “at some point this year” and that the brand is “working to hold off as long as possible on doing that.” It’s also investigating alternative sources for manufacturing.

Lomi Composter
April 29 is the last day to purchase the Lomi composter if you’re in the U.S. The CEO said in an email announcement, “While we have to hit pause for now, we hope we’ll be able to offer Lomi in the U.S. someday again.”
Everyday household and food

Lisa Cheng Smith, founder of Taiwanese goods shopYun Hai, took to her Instagram Stories last Thursday. She said while the company is not planning on changing anything about the business (“We import products that will only ever be from Taiwan,” per the post), it is “desperately trying to carve out time to calculate impact, make projections, rewrite strategy.” And Cheng Smith noted a caveat: “I am waiting for dust to settle because nothing can be taken at face value these days.”

International spice companyBurlap & Barrel, which is committed to supporting smallholder farmers, sent out an email andposted on Instagram, stating, “We will not raise our prices in response to these tariffs. We already cap the prices on our core spices at $10 on our site, and we work hard to keep our products accessible with one of the lowest free-shipping minimums on the internet.”
Fashion

Intimates line Cou Cou now has a banner on itswebsitesaying the brand covers customers’ duties and taxes.

Clothing brand Réalisation Par sent out an email to customers that says, “From April 23, 2025, shipping to the U.S. will temporarily pause — but we’ll be the first to let you know when it resumes.” The company is offering customers 20 percent off with the code REALLOVE.

Labucq Joan Boot
Luxury footwear brand Labucqposted on Instagramlast week that its prices will increase approximately 10 percent on April 15 and an additional 10 percent on May 7.

Italian leather shoe brand M. Gemi also announced it is raising prices starting May 1.

Jewelry brand Ana Luisa sent out an email to customers over the weekend saying it’s increasing prices on select items starting Wednesday, April 9.

Lo & Sons O.G. 2
Lo & Sons, which makes some ofour favorite weekend bags, says it’s offering deals on existing inventory that’s already been imported. “With tariffs increasing costs, this might be the last chance for customers to get some of these great deals on Lo & Sons products,” its email says.

Menswear brand Mack Weldon announced it will be locking in all existing underwear pricing, regardless of tariffs, until (at least) July 4. The company will also be running a flash sale from April 24 to 27 on its 18-Hour Jersey Underwear $14.50 (a not-so-subtle nod to the announced 145 percent tariffs).
Beauty and wellness

Dieux Skin’sco-founder, Charlotte Palermino, has been posting some very informative Instagram Reels about the pricing of beauty products. In hermost recent, she breaks down the price of Instant Angel, explaining that things such as packaging and ingredients sourced from outside the U.S. will be impacted. But she goes on to say that the products will not go up in price right now. “We need to be doing a lot more forecasting to actually understand the full impact. And our CFO is an operations genius and is helping us figure out how to minimize these costs as much as possible,” she says.

In a press release, Swedish medical skin-tech brandForeoannounced it’s adjusting its U.S. product prices by 20 to 30 percent starting on April 22.

In anarticle for the Information, Jolie Skin Co. said there are plans to add a “Trump liberation tariff” fee at checkout once final tariffs are set.

Also on the showerhead front, Sproos! sent out an email saying that it’s keeping its prices the same through May.

In anInstagram post, sexual-wellness brand Dameannounced it’s adding a $5 “Trump tariff surcharge” for now. The post says it “doesn’t cover the full cost as we hate to put the brunt of this on you,” but it’s in place “while we figure out what to do next.”

Crave Vesper
Thesex-toy industrystands to be hit very hard by tariffs, and Crave sent out a marketing email to customers warning prices could potentially double soon.
Electronics

Boox Palma 2
Onyx, which makes our tech writer’s favorite e-reader, has announcedprice changesthat can already be seen in products like the Palma, which is selling for $20 more than it was before the tariffs.

Nintendo originallyannouncedthat preorders for the Nintendo Switch 2 in the U.S. have been pushed back from April 9 to a later date “to assess the potential impact of tariffs and evolving market conditions.” That later date has now been scheduled for April 24.

Loftie, a maker ofalarm clocks and lamps, informed customers via email that a new launch is delayed owing to the increased cost of packaging. The brand also announced that the price of its lamp will go up by almost $200 on May 1. It is offering 20 percent off sitewide April 25–30 with the code STRATEGIST20.

Camp Snap, which makes screen-free digital cameras, has messaging at the top of its website that reads, “Due to a newly imposed 54% tariff we will need to raise prices 4/15. We have some inventory available now at the current price.”

Digital-notebook companySupernotesaid in aReddit postthat it is increasing prices at the end of April. “Orders placed before the price increase takes effect will be fulfilled at the current price and shipped as soon as possible,” the post says.
Kids and toys

Salt Lake City indie brandMochi Kidsposted on Instagramlast week in response: “Most of the brands we carry are independently and family owned. Many based right here in the U.S. but manufactured overseas … Trump’s tariffs are hurting my small business and many others around the country. And the price increases we are currently seeing will soon be trickling down to consumers.”

A lot ofbaby gear, including car seats, strollers, and baby monitors, are likely going to increase in prices. Britax says its hikes will be in effect May 1.
