Now that I’ve reported on Amazon’s Prime Day four years in a row, I’ve learned many other retailers across the internet offer some pretty terrific markdowns at the same time. Often, these reductions are significant: as much as 50 percent off (or more) from the original price. Fifty percent off is the mark of a very appealing sale, and to make your bargain-hunting more efficient, I’ve created this handy guide featuring all the best half-off (or more) discounts spanning a range of categories, including clothing and accessories, beauty and wellness, tech, and home and kitchen. Below, you’ll find Strategist-approved brands from Everlane and Levi’s to Gap and Medicube. There’s an elegant kelly-green Alex Mill cardigan, a cordless pet vacuum for heavy shedders, and the Waterpik Aquarius (our favorite overall water flosser).
Keep in mind that Prime Day ends on Wednesday, October 8 (a.k.a. tonight at 11:59 p.m. PT and 2:59 a.m. ET). While some non-Amazon deals may still be valid later this week, I really would not dillydally as all these markdowns are fleeting. Deals I personally think are the best
I wrote about Gap’s CashSoft fabric last December, and I’m looking forward to pulling out my sweaters and loungewear sets as soon as the weather gets cooler. Gap is having a very good sale right now with 50 percent off your purchase. I also have my eye on the deeply discounted slouchy, stud-detailed suede bag from Madewell and our best less expensive robot vacuum with a low-profile dock.

I swear the sales bin at Everlane is always worth a gander with discounts as deep as 70 percent off. I’ve also uncovered some excellent deals from Gap, Nordstorm, and Shopbop. J.Crew is having its Midseason Sale, and discounted styles are an extra 60 percent off with code BIGSALE.
