All of the Best Labor Day Mattress Sales
It’s no secret that the best time to buy a mattress is over a holiday weekend, when you’re guaranteed to save a couple hundred dollars. If you missed out on the deals from Memorial Day and the Fourth of July, now’s your last chance to get a good discount until Black Friday. And if you need help figuring out what to get, plenty of Strategist-tested brands have already launched sales, and many are extending the deals beyond mattresses to include bedroom essentials like pillows, bed frames, and sheet sets. (If you’re looking for non-mattress deals, I’ve rounded up all the best Labor Day deals, from coffee makers to work bags, so head on over to see everything on sale.)
If you’re a stomach sleeper (or on a budget), former Strategist senior editor Margaret Rhodes said she “slept like a rock for eight hours several nights in a row” on Allswell’s Luxe Hybrid mattress. Our favorite mattress for stomach sleepers, along with everything else on the site, is 25 percent off with the code BIGDEAL25.

Most of the mattresses found in this roundup can also be found on sale at Amazon, including Casper and Tuft & Needle. I also spotted one of our favorite all-foam mattresses from Emma and the cooling, comforting Purple mattress.
Our best-overall hybrid mattress — which former Strategist writer Lori Keong called “plush yet delightfully bouncy” — is $200 off with the code STRAT200 (and shipping is free).

Bear’s all-foam mattress was originally designed for athletes, with foam layers that relieve pressure and keep you cool. Everything is 35 percent off this weekend, and every mattress purchase comes with a free bedding bundle, which includes two down-alternative pillows, a sheet set, and a mattress protector.
Everything at ecofriendly mattress brand Birch is 25 percent off through September 11 with the code STRAT25. Strategist editor Maxine Builder has been sleeping on her Natural mattress since 2020 and finds it a “plush yet supportive mattress that’s suitable for most types of sleepers.” Plus, all mattress purchases come with two free recycled-fill pillows.
Through September 12, Casper is offering up to 20 percent off sitewide, including our top mattress for side sleepers, the Original. (I also spotted its adjustable bed frame for half off.)
Take 25 percent off sitewide — and receive two free down-alternative Dream pillows with the purchase of any mattress — when you use the code STRAT25. Helix’s products can be found all across our archives, including its (flippable) kids’ mattress and our best hybrid feather-and-down pillow.
While not the the biggest discount of the bunch, you can still save up to $700 on Leesa mattresses, bedding, and bases. You’ll also get two free down-alternative pillows with the purchase of any mattress.
Through September 5, Nectar is offering 33 percent off its entire site, including its Strategist-tested, cooling memory-foam mattress and one of our best pillows for side sleepers. I also noticed that the brand’s adjustable bed frame is half off.
While this isn’t the biggest discount, Parachute is taking 15 percent off its Eco Comfort mattress, which is our best-in-class innerspring option. It’s designed to be firm in the middle for back support, and softer under the head and feet for comfort.

Saatva’s Classic mattress has topped our best-mattress roundup for several years now, and the brand is offering an exclusive deal for Strategist readers. All orders over $1,000 — so basically any mattress purchase — is 18 percent off at checkout when you shop through our link.
Tuft & Needle’s crowd-pleasing foam mattress was tested via the Strategist’s Lauren Ro, a side sleeper who felt “supported and cocooned.” Through September 10, you can take up to 20 percent off its Original and Mint mattresses and up to $700 off the Mint Hybrid Mattress. Furniture and bedding — and, weirdly enough, some skin care — are up to 40 percent off as well.
Zinus makes some of the best affordable mattresses on the market, and you can get an even better deal with a 20-percent-off sitewide discount when you use the code LABORDAY20.
The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
