October Prime Day is next week (October 6–7), and I’m already in megadeals mode. To help you get ready too, I’m sharing the 100 or so items I believe will be on sale. The Strategist has been covering Prime Day since 2018, so we know by now what to expect. To make this list, I racked my brain, combed through past sales, and looked at top sellers. All the items below have been on sale during multiple Prime Days past — if not all of them — at prices that are often the best they’ll get all year.

Toys and kids’ gear
Tons of toys go on sale for October Prime Day, just in time for gifting season, and so does a good selection of baby and kids’ gear. There’s a lot of variation in what exactly is discounted year to year, but you’ll always find the same brands in the mix, including LEGO, Magna-Tiles, Melissa & Doug, and Toniebox.

Home and kitchen
Home deals are hit or miss — a lot of the things on sale come from random brands. We primarily stick to the décor section for Prime Day, where you’ll find rugs, wall accents, and mirrors, though those deals vary a lot year to year. The sleep deals also vary greatly during Prime Day. It’s not the best time for mattress deals, but you can often find a couple of good ones from brands we stand by. If you’re not looking to buy an entirely new mattress, you’ll likely be able to get a good deal on a plush mattress topper. And pillow deals typically abound, especially our favorite affordable ones from Beckham and Purple’s expensive-but-worth-it Harmony. Meanwhile, the kitchen section is often robust, and you’re certain to find good deals on air fryers, coffee makers, and other tools and appliances. If you’re in the market for a Vitamix or a KitchenAid, Prime Day is your golden ticket to a great deal.

Tech
You will always find AirPods on sale during Prime Day, often for some of the best prices we ever see, and AirTags are usually down to their lowest price ever — both are Strategist best sellers every year. There’s also usually at least one Kindle on sale, though the model that gets discounted varies; I’ve included the two we’ve seen in recent years. And plenty of other big-ticket tech, such as Bluetooth speakers and noise-canceling headphones, and cheaper tech accessories, like chargers, will be on sale too.
