This linen-blend ensemble from Gap,a brand we’ve noticed everyone seems to be wearing this summer,came recommended by the founder of Prix Fixe, Oset Babür-Winter, who calls it reminiscent of Staud. Co-signer and editor at Produce Parties Aisha Joshi adds, “I know I can have it on for a huge dinner and not feel like I’m going to explode out of it.”

Senior editor Hilary Reid writes, “This dress is like wearing a small linen bag, in the best way. It is extremely breezy, both in the swingy shape and the generously cut armpits, which sounds odd, but if you’ve ever felt that the arm holes on some summer dresses are cut too small, you’ll know what I mean. The linen has just enough heft to it to not be sheer but still be totally lightweight and breathable.”

This dress is only 55 percent linen, but according to copywriter Sandy Sanchez, it’s still very breathable. “It’s gotten softer with each wear, too,” she adds.

Strategist contributor Kiki Aranita first saw this shirtdress on Katie Lee Biegel’s Instagram post, where Biegel said it was the only thing she wore while vacationing in Italy. Aranita now wears hers three to four times a week. “It’s a little embarrassing how often it shows up in Zoom and in photos with me wearing it,” Aranita says, adding that she’s worn it to the pool as a swimsuit cover-up and also styled it with a black blazer and heels to moderate a conference.
