As a 65 year old who hadn't wore a swimsuit in YEARS, I just purchased a very expensive (for me) ERES bathing suit that is amazing. I had one for 20 years before I left it somewhere. Holds you just right in all the right places, does not stretch out, worth every penny!

I loved this article. Thank you for putting yourself out there and trying on all these different suits. I am over 60 and have a stomach and feel like NOTHING looks good on me. I loved the comparison to the super models too. This helped normalize all the issues I experience when trying on swim suits.

Maybelline Hyper Easy Liquid Eyeliner. Around $10. I have slightly hooded eyes and this liner is the best and easiest that I’ve used. Extremely thin and precise, goes on so smoothly, while drying fast and staying put. Can’t recommend enough!

Great list. I want to try that olive oil and the date molasses. I use dates and date syrup as a sweetener and I wonder if the molasses will have a little more kick.

The Strategist Beauty Brieffound a summer-friendly body butter

“When I first tested the Vaseline body butter a few months ago, I wasn’t super-impressed,” writes Denton-Hurst. “I was trying it out as part of abigger story for which I tested a bunch of different options. At the time, I said it wasn’t for me personally, citing its thin, quickly disappearing texture, but four months later, I am here to amend that statement. It’s actually great.”

Najwa Jamal shared her jeans secrets in the Strategist’s daily newsletter

This month, we shared updates coordinator Najwa Jamal’s hunt formules she can actually walk in. Readers not only loved it — they also sent in a lot of questions about the white jeans she’s wearing in a few try-on photos. “I’m something of a year-round white-jeans and pants fanatic,” she explained in our daily newsletter. “DL1961’s pair came to my attentionback in April mainly for their 13 percent linen blend and have remained in my weekly rotation since.”

The Strategist Kids’ Departmentrecommended a wacky, profound picture book

Our audience-growth manager Hannah Kotzen has been readingI Want to Be a Vase(a 2022 picture book by comedian and TV writerJulio Torresabout a plunger that … wants to be a vase) aloud to the kids in her life. “Like the rest of Torres’s work, the story is wacky, meta, and extremely delightful, and the artwork — a mix of surrealist 3-D images and bright colors — is fun for kids and adults alike,” she says.
