Welcome back to “Your Shopping Cart,” where we break out the top products that you, devoted Strategist readers, bought in droves. Think of this as the TL;DR of the Strategist. If your like-minded brethren are buying these items, maybe you’d like to as well.
The most-purchased items this month
With the weather finally, finally warming up, everyone’s best-summer-ever preparations began in earnest this May: tanning foam, sunscreen, cooling percale sheets from Quince, and Ninja CREAMi soft-serve ice-cream machines all ended up in numerous carts. I’mpretty close to purchasing the Ninja myself, although last summer I got a lot of use out of this classic Cuisinart.

The most-saved items this month
May was a great month for tiny but useful life hacks here at the Strategist, and your most-saved items are a testament to that: Orly’s nail-tech-beloved $8 base coat (which makes any manicure last for more than a week), the ultra-affordable Gap V-neck that’s an exact dupe for Flore Flore’s pricey cool-girl tanks, and the yacht step that contributing writer Sarah Blakley-Cartwright says can make daily apartment life much easier.

Secret Strat downsized
The Secret Strategist pored over all the details in the miniature house that creative director and Mugwort Mugwort co-founder Jayne Goheen made for her kids’ Maileg mice. “The frog boots — my daughters have the same Wellipets rain boots — I sourced on Miniatures.com, along with a lot of other building supplies, like wallpaper and flooring and trim,” says Goheen.

The Strategist’s daily newsletter went offline
Well, sort of. “Over the course of four months, I interviewed busy parents, publicists, anti-tech activists, journalists, event planners, and polled the New York staff for practical advice on how to unglue ourselves from our phones,” says associate editor Jeremy Rellosa. “The result is a list of 59 tips that include waking up to the radio, downloading an app that makes you do push-ups before opening Instagram, using a dumbphone (like the popular Light Phone III, which still has navigation capabilities), and falling asleep to maritime weather reports for the British Isles instead of scrolling.”

The Strategist Kids’ Department found all the new Jellycats
Jellycat’s latest drop is full of summery stuffies that are sure to sell out, including Roarwell Sea Lion, Keli Pelican, a jaunty seafaring edition of Bartholomew Bear, and senior editor Jen Trolio’s hands-down favorite, Pinchsnap Crab. The brand has also released a handful of fútbol-themed designs ahead of the World Cup, including a USA soccer ball and the excellently named Warni, a yellow card, and Fowla, a red card.
