It’s Prime Day, But Check Out Walmart’s Sale Too
In this article
Prime Day is here, and we’re updating this story hourly. To find the best deals in every category, follow all of our Prime Day coverage.
It’s a big week for bargain hunters, with Amazon’s Prime Day sales event beginning tomorrow (we’ve gathered some of the best early deals here) and Walmart’s competing Deals & More sale event having kicked off yesterday. The big-box store’s markdowns cover pretty much every product category you can think of (from Crocs to electric toothbrushes) and last through Sunday, June 28. If you’re in the market for a discounted air fryer or vacuum cleaner or air-conditioning unit, the massive selection of marked-down products is definitely worth taking a look at. Smaller-ticket items like underwear are also worth your time, as well as a solid selection of kids’ toys and tech items like headphones and charging cables. Find all the best discounts below; I’ll continue to update this guide as the week progresses.
Deals I personally think are the best

Best Tech Deals
The best tech deal that I could find is a close-to-30 percent discount on AirPods Max 2. If you’re not all in on Apple, I personally use Bose’s Quiet Comfort earbuds and think they’re great, especially for travel. They’re also a little cheaper, coming in under $250 right now. Beyond headphones and earbuds, Walmart has marked down lots of generic charging blocks and cables, Bluetooth speakers, and smart TVs.

Best Vacuum & Cleaning Deals
Dreaming of a Dyson? Now’s the time, with lots of different models (from a classic cordless stick to several canister vacuums designed for sucking up clumps of pet hair) on sale. For those who prefer to set and forget their weekly apartment-cleaning schedules, I spotted a few robot vacuums on sale too, from generic brands as well as our beloved Roborock.

Best Kitchen Deals
The first thing I looked for when perusing a preview document of Walmart’s deals was the word “Ninja,” and happily, lots of the brand’s clever appliances are on sale. The plastic-free Ninja Crispi super-cooker is sadly just 10 percent off, but there are more substantial discounts on larger air fryers as well as the excellent Ninja SLUSHi home frozen-drink dispenser (in a nice blue color). Plenty of good deals on kitchen storage and coffee-making equipment, too.

Best Clothing & Shoe Deals
Walmart isn’t known for its fashion, but three brands worth looking for in the store’s sale section right now are Hanes, Levi’s, and Crocs. The surprisingly stylish Crocs Swiftwater sandal is marked down to just $22, and the more classic clogs are also more than 30 percent off in both kids’ and adult sizing. I spotted some useful denim shorts, too.

Best Kids’ Toy and School Supply Deals
The kids’-toy sale selection is absolutely sprawling, so stick to the classics. Lots of LEGO and Disney stuff is marked down, alongside a big box of magnetic tiles and our beloved Yoto Mini. This is also a good time to stock up on cheap back-to-school stuff, including markers and composition books.

Best Beauty & Bathroom Deals
If you’re not usually shopping for your beauty and bath products at Walmart, maybe you should be. Our favorite sunscreen is on sale right now, alongside Laneige’s addictive softening lip mask and Olaplex’s hair-strengthening shampoo and conditioner set. A couple of electric toothbrushes that we like are almost 20 percent off, too.

Best Home & Outdoor Deals
Walmart’s home and outdoor deals section is well stocked for the summer months. I spotted lots of Adirondack chairs, fans, and window air conditioners, as well as camping supplies like a pop-up tent for under $100 and Jackery’s powerful portable charging station. And one of our all-time favorite gifts, the Birdfy Smart Bird Feeder, is currently 44 percent off. (Strategist associate editor Jeremy Rellosa’s parents are chuffed with theirs.)
