The Best Cyber Monday Furniture and Home Deals, From Anthropologie to Umbra

On Cyber Monday, I look at home goods. I peek at fashion; and I do a dutiful pass of the items I’m planning to buy as gifts. But home and furniture deals are what really get me opening tabs like there’s no tomorrow and starting my laptop fans whirring. I keep a year-round list of things I want to buy (it’s on Airtable; I am a shopping reporter, a project manager, and a human being, in that order), and it’s incredible how many of them are on sale right now — linen sheets, fussy little tablewares, a Dutch oven. (There are also some great deals on a few of my tech wish-list items, like a TV and a laptop that doesn’t whir when I open too many tabs.)

To help you navigate what can be an overwhelming volume of sales, we’ve sorted through hundreds of websites and PR emails, and cross-referenced against the deep Strategist archive of home-goods content. This year, there’s a great mix of practical items at the best prices we’ve seen in a while — now’s your moment to buy an air purifier — and delightful, indulgent things to make your home brighter, like extra-plush bath towels and glow-y Ikea ornaments. If you see something you want, act fast — things tend to sell out.

There are a ton of Italian postmodern design-nerd homewares on sale at Alessi, like a giftable, friendly corkscrew, a cook-favorite orange peeler, and a tea kettle that Strategist kitchen and dining writer Emma Wartzman says is “one of my own most-coveted kitchen items.” The sale ends tonight at midnight EST, so act fast.

All Modern

All Modern has a ton of furniture and décor on sale, including some of our favorite bed frames — use the code GET25 for an extra 25 percent off, and shipping is free.

There are great deals at Amazon on the home appliances you need to clean up after the holidays — i.e., a buy-it-for-life vacuum and a food vacuum sealer — plus a bunch of fun giftable items.

When we spoke to six anonymous Anthropologie workers to find out what to buy and what to skip, we heard about a lot of great housewares. Many are on sale today, from the cult-favorite Gleaming Primrose mirror to a surprisingly petproof velvet chair.

It wouldn’t be the holidays without design-y gifts from Areaware, like our favorite fancy planter and mini-food-puzzles beloved by Grub Street editors. Take 25 percent off sitewide with the code VERYMERRY25.

Article has a Strategist hat trick — it makes our best-in-class sofa, bed frame, and dining chair — and all those items are on sale today in limited styles (the Sven sofa in tan leather is still full price, but the upholstered version below is 45 percent off. If you’ve gone deep on couch Reddit, the fabric scores 50,000 on the Martindale test).

Everything at Coyuchi is on sale today for 25 percent off, including its super-comfy quilts and towels — and some Strategist-favorite linen bedding has gone down to 40 percent off, today only.

Crate & Barrel

A ton of furniture, décor, and bedding is on sale for Crate & Barrel’s Cyber Monday sale, with prices up to 60 percent off.

Design Within Reach

I am at a loss for words at how many design-nerd grails are on sale at Design Within Reach right now. Take out a loan to buy an Eames lounge chair or get some cheaper, practical things, like infinitely flexible Kartell storage units and an architect’s favorite desk lamp.

Dusen Dusen

Get your cozy, punchy towels, robes, and bedding at Dusen Dusen for 25 percent off sitewide.

Hay (which is owned by Design Within Reach’s parent company, Herman Miller) is also having a very good sale on some of our favorites, like a vibe-saving neon light and cute stackable storage crates. Take an extra 5 percent off today with code CYBER5.
