The two pieces that started her journey — a bright-pink tiered dress and a marine-blue bateau long-sleeve — are now pretty discounted. “They are light as air,” Pariso says. “I barely feel them on my body at all, which keeps sweating to a minimum. They are especially great on vacation, since they take up nearly no space in a suitcase. And, unlike linen, which starts to look a bit unpolished once it’s creased, the beauty of the crushed silk is that it is designed to be wrinkle-friendly. You can pull it out of your carry-on, shake it out, throw it on, and still look put-together in a way only silk can provide.”
Good news for the maximalists: There’s lots of good stuff inFarm Rio’s sale sectionthis week. It’s mostly dresses and fluttery blouses, but the shoe options are surprisingly vast, too. I’m really liking these rain shoes, which also come inbutter yellowandblack.
