Things to Buy on Prime Day That Would Make Great Holiday Gifts

Even though Amazon Prime Day typically falls in July, it’s always been a good opportunity to get a jumpstart on your holiday shopping with deals on everything from electric toothbrushes to cast-iron skillets. But seeing as this year’s Prime Day is happening now, it makes even more sense to take advantage of Prime Day sales to buy gifts for your family, friends, and even those co-workers you haven’t seen in person since March.

To help you out, we’ve rounded up some of the best Prime Day deals on giftable things for everyone on your list, like a cozy cashmere sweater for mom, or a cheeseboard for the newlyweds who got married over Zoom. We know it’s been an unusual — and unusually stressful — year, so why not relieve some of that by getting all of your gift shopping done a few weeks ahead of schedule? Of course, there’s also no shame in picking up a little something for yourself, like a pair of noise-canceling headphones so you can finally get some work done at home, or a soothing weighted blanket to calm your anxiety.

If you’re looking for even more tech deals, check our finds here, and the ones our colleagues at the Verge dug up here. Our sister site, the Cut, has found a lot of great discounts, too. And be sure to bookmark our Prime Day hub and follow us on Twitter for any updates. (Also: You need to be a Prime member to snag all deals.) Prime Day is winding down and all deals end tonight, so be aware of stock and price changes.
