What Bobbi Brown (Still) Can’t Live Without

I’ve been wearing Caddis glasses ever since they launched a couple of years ago. They do these really beautiful oversize glasses. I have a small face, but I was still a regular customer. I wore the bigger ones, but I looked a little bit — you probably don’t know who Swifty Lazar is, but he was this famous agent in Hollywood who had these giant glasses. Not quite Iris Apfel, more masculine. That’s what I kind of looked like. So I connected with the founder, Tim, and I said, “Tim, I love them, but can we make them for a small face?” So he made me my own pair, and Caddis actually started selling them yesterday. I’m not making anything on them, but they’re selling them now.

I found out about this protein shake when I was onPhoebe Gates’s podcast. She and her co-host were both drinking it, and I’m like, “What is that?” And she said, “Oh my God, we’re obsessed.” It’s 30 grams of protein. It’s easy to digest. It takes two seconds to drink it. And the truth is, I’m just a little lazy. Sometimes making a protein shake means I have to get the ingredients and then clean up. So I just grab my Nurri Protein. Chocolate is my favorite, but I also have strawberry, and vanilla. I have more energy with this Nurri shake than I do with caffeine.

I found these originally on the Steve Madden site, and I bought them and then re-bought them, and then they were out of stock, and then I found them at Walmart. I believe I bought every single pair of size sevens. They look like my Gucci or Prada loafers, but they feel like you’re standing on one of those chef mats in the kitchen. People stop me. I could be wearing my Chanel jacket, but they’re like, “What shoes are those?” I mean, they look great with a Chanel jacket. I have them in white too, which I wear when I’m in Florida, and it’s very Don Johnson inMiami Vice.

I wear men’s XS in this. I don’t know why more brands don’t make women’s clothes that are like men’s, because I love the way they look. It’s just got the perfect crewneck. It’s not cashmere, it’s wool — it’s actually really hard to find wool sweaters. Every season I get a navy or a black one, and in the winter I’ll get a softer color like tan.

They really knocked it out of the park with this bag. They have a couple different sizes. They’re great for walking around during the day. I do a lot of car trips, and I just throw stuff in the bag. My husband has one, my son has one. Mickey [Drexler, the CEO] is a dear friend of mine, and I’ve been talking to him about a mini size — something that you could throw your makeup in and your keys and organize it. I have “BB” on mine. That’s what my granddaughter calls me, so it means a lot to me.

These are unfortunately an indulgence I have. Who buys socks for $30? But I can’t wear any others since I did. So I’m the girl who wears Chanel jackets, Steve Madden, Uniqlo, and Comme Si socks — a little high, a little low. They just feel so good. They make me feel really special, and I make sure I have a couple new ones to start every season, like back-to-school socks. I do white. I do gray. I have a light-pink pair, only because my granddaughter loves pink, so when I’m with her, I wear a pink bra or my pink socks.

I have three of these now. I have a navy one, a black one, and a blush-colored one for summer. Louis Vuitton is really good at doing the right color blue, the right color pink. They’re always in my bag, because even when it’s warm out, you go someplace and the air-conditioning is on and it’s freezing. Because it’s not cashmere, it’s not heavy. It’s some kind of wool-silk blend. It’s also my gift of choice to give someone special because it’s a classic. It’s not trendy.

I like to eat something sweet after my meals. It just shuts me off. When I’m eating and I’m still hungry, sometimes I stop because it takes 20 minutes to get full. But then I’m like, all right, well, I’ll have a piece of licorice. I either do butterscotch or this, but the licorice really works because it just stops the sweet tooth. And trust me: I have one piece, sometimes two, but I never eat more than that. It’s enough. If it was chocolate, I would keep eating it. And I find licorice also settles my tummy.

I’ve been pretty obsessed with our Hippie Stick from the second I touched it. It’s an emollient balmlike product that is the ultimate moisturizer. It comes in the packaging that we first got it in from the lab. Most brands repackage things, but when it came exactly as is, I was like, “Oh my God, this is the greatest thing I’ve ever tried.” It smells so good. It reminded me of being in a spa, and I said, “This is like a Hippie Stick.” It’s like what you’d buy in Woodstock or Telluride and put it all over. My husband swears by it. We were in the Hamptons, and Don Lemon came over to my husband and said, “What do you use on your skin? It’s so beautiful.” He said “Hippie Stick” — and now Don Lemon is obsessed with the Hippie Stick. So it’s good for girls and boys, and you can use it everywhere on your body.
